  • Good Wednesday!
I'm betting that Puss still has the kitties. I bet her brother and Nephew were teasing her about taking the kitties back. He's too nice a brother to do that to you, right, Puss?

Nice to hear from you again Sunny.

    Hello Charlotte. Get some rest!

Actually, it's early afternoon, but I slept late and have been writing checks for bills. I bet they're going to think I was drunk when I wrote them!
    Looks like chicken scratching!

It stormed here most of the night, and the electricity went out once, but nothing real severe. It rained most of the morning too, and it's suppose to storm every day this week. I hope it's just the garden variety thunderstorms on Friday, because I have to travel a ways to the ortho surgeon that day.

Slept pretty good last night. Didn't go to bed until 1:30 AM and slept till after 8 AM. Took a pain pill before bed. It's sore today, but as long as I don't use it, I can tolerate the soreness.

My beautiful daughter-in-law is going to go to the store and pick up some healthy foods that are easy to make, one-handed. She's such a lovey. She came up again last night and checked to see if I had any dishes to do or needed anything.
I can't get used to not doing what I want when I want.

Everybody have a wonderful day. I got this recipe this morning. Haven't tried it yet, but will as soon as I can. I think it sounds good, and I think I'm going to use Splenda instead of the brown sugar.

  • Hi all!

Sorry I have been gone for so long!

Things have been really crazy the last while. DH was in the hosp. with his back problems. Then my MIL fell and had a heart attack and we were at the hosp. again every day for three weeks while she hovered between life and death. My SIL also arrived from AZ so we have had company for the past month as well.
MIL has since bounced back..... like a cat with nine lives ....but we moved her into a nursing home today. We have been trying to do that for the past several years as there is no way she should have been living on her own.
In between all that my DM was not doing very well ( has since recovered quite nicely) and I also had my 2 grand daughters for 10 days !!
Needless to say I haven't had time to be online....or even check my email for that matter.
Hopefully everything will settle down now and I can get caught up with all the latest happenings.

I just want you all to know I haven't forgotten you ....I have been thinking about you even though I haven't had the time to post.

    Talk to you again soon!

    Jacquie

Just remember...we're here waiting, when you get a chance to post. Sorry you've been through so much. Please, take care of yourself.
  • Willow...I like your Winnie The Poo quote in your signature. Been meaning to tell you.
You have such a sweet DIL. It must mean you're a good MIL! Sure hope your hip gets better soon.
Today is my day off. Going to go get my hair cut & body perm put in. I went Tuesday & had my nails done. Had my nails put on a little longer, this time. I'ml having a hard time getting used to them...but they are pretty! I always kept them really short, because I couldn't do anything with them hardly, with RA. Now, I'm spoiled!

Gotta go. Hope you're doing well, Sheila. It's been a couple of days since we heard from you....give us a post!

    Hi Fatpuss!

    Hi Bluet!
