Sencha realizing the where and why of my cravings is the 2nd biggest reason I have not thrown in the towel this time. The first reason is that I have found a WOE that I enjoy.
I too am not sure about my goal weight. I am just going to keep eating this way and when my body tells me I am done I will go from there. So happy for you with your scale victories!
Anniemaxx great minds think a like. This morning I was thinking about my upcoming birthday and I decided I am not going to get a cake. I love that cake and will eat it until it is gone. I thought I don't really need that cake because then I will spend all my time getting that weight off instead of this old weight I have been lugging around for decades.
Yes, I do think losing a chunk makes the rest less urgent. My mindset really changed when I got below 240. Last time I stopped losing at 248 even though I was trying. When I got below 240 my mindset changed. Clothes looked nicer. I noticed how easily I could sit in any chair. I could sit on the ground cross legged for a long time with my grandsons. I could take them for long stroller rides. I could do more physical work for longer. It became more about what I could do instead of all I couldn't. I finally saw what being so overweight was really keeping me from. One thing that really helps is being in the "Getting out of threads." We all work on getting out of the current decade we are in. It is not a competition. It is more like a let's all stay focused on getting below a certain number goal. Posting on more threads helps me think of all my 3FC buddies throughout the day which in turn helps keep me focused.
