Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday. I just finished my 7 mile run and now I've got errands to do the rest of the day. My MIL's birthday is tomorrow and we're having her over for dinner and I doubt my DH has picked out a card or gift for her -- and he is off golfing so I bet he thinks the magical "Card and Gift Fairy" is going to take care of this for him. So I need to pull my magic wand and tutu out of the closet and get busy.... ha.

That is CRAZY-I know she was here yesterday!

So DH brought home dinner last night and he kind of remembered. Brought me a grilled chicken sandwich with no dressing (YAY for him) BUT he also brought home the french fries and I ATE them and the whole time I was eating them I thought of you all and the fact that I was going to have to come confess BUT BUT BUT on a good note I refrained from eating my kids leftovers and their chicken strips are to DIE for! I know I shouldn't be too hard on myself, good habits don't happen over night, and at least I felt guilt as I endulged-that is a start right?!

Gonna down the water today and hit the pavement tonight for a good hard workout. It is turning cold on us again this weekend and next week, so hoping I can still get out.

Have fun getting your MIL card and gift. My dh does the same thing-on our way to her house he usually says "so what did we get my mom for her birthday" One year I told him I didn't get her anything (while it was safely in the trunk) and he felt ssoo bad wanted to stop on the way but we were already late. He started to appologize to his mom when it magically appeared. He no longer lets me be in charge of the gift or card.

Good job passing on the leftovers! So you had some french fries - not the end of the world, so just keep on truckin! And if you are going to eat them, ENJOY them. Guilt accomplishes nothing for you, so I think it is counter productive. You made a choice to have an treat last night. Enjoy it! It's not like you'll NEVER have fries the rest of your life, you WILL (and when you do, you should enjoy the heck out of them!). You'll just work them into your overall healthy lifestyle. You won't have fries every time. Just occasionally. That seems reasonable to me!

Yeah, my husband isn't that great with the gift thing, but on the other hand, he never complains about whatever I pick out so I don't mind terribly. And he comes in handy when stuff breaks, so I'll give him a pass!

Shari -- you're only 21? You young thing, you! Great job on a solid month of intuitive eating! I'm sure that will serve you well in future! And your haircut is adorable, I saw the pics on your blog!

I only lost 1 pound this week and I'm totally frustrated even though I know I shouldn't be. I've lost 14 pounds in 5 weeks, but still, I really worked hard this week and 1 pound seems so unfair!

Tyler: 14 in 5 weeks that is AWESOME!! Gotta let your body catch up to itself but I hear ya on the frustration.

Here is to a GOOD monday! After I get the oldest (birthday girl today) off to school I will be back to check in officially. Just wanted to say hi!

Good Morning ladies!!! Just checking in with you to see how everyone's weekend was. I've been a snackaholic and I just can't kick it. Argggggggggh!

OK so what is everyones plans today?

It is my oldest birthday today so that means cake and ice cream. I am making the cake so it will be low fat, but ice cream is my BIGGEST weakness. I am going to have some because not having some just isn't an option but I am only going to have 1 serving and enjoy every bite of it! I have my meals planned out for today and they will leave room for a little treat so no guilt.

I am hoping to get a pilates workout in this morning. I have TONS of work I have to do, but I need to make it a priority in my day. The joys of being self employed is that I won't get fired if I slip in a workout in the middle of the work day. In fact I think I will be one of those bosses that REQUIRES a 30 min. workout in the middle of the work day to rejuvinate the body and mind.

I also would like to go for a walk/run tonight but with the birthday festivities we will see if there is time.

So what is on your agenda today?

Lady-I am a born snackaholic, so I have been trying to keep a piece of gum in my mouth unless it is meal or snack time.

Lady -- I'm a snacky whacky too, so I do the gum trick as well -- and I am always sucking down water so that helps too. Plus I try to keep the house clear of things my brain says are traditional snack foods" chips, cookies, crackers, wheat thins, trickets, nuts, stuff like that!

Smurf -- what do you do for a living? The benefits of self-employment sound great! I think you've done a great job planning for the party tonight, enjoy your single serving of ice cream! Have fun at the party!

Today is my rest day from my marathon training schedule, so I've used the time to do 3 hours of yard work. The yard looks so pretty right now, I wish it would stay this way! But we are moving into the rainy season here and soon the grass and weeds and bushes will be growing like crazy and require even more upkeep. I also need to do a bunch of regular housework but now that I'm done with the yard I'm feeling lazy!

On a good note, today is Day 40 binge-free for me (I'm a terrible binge eater) so I'm on a roll!

Tyler that is GREAT! 40 days is a great accomplishment and a great lifestyle change! My yard is calling my name again today too. There is so much work needed out there. This is our first Srping/Summer in this house and the yard is huge and messy! Yard work is a great workout and I always treat myself to a few lazy hours after even just 30 min. out there

I am a photographer, so minus the hours at the shoot/wedding I work from home. I am trying to get a wedding finished and out the door, working on the new website, and marketing material today. Lots of computer work. I moved to a new state 7 months ago so starting the business back up is a lot of work, but it is coming.

I also have 3 kids another full time job with lots of overtime

What does everyone else do?

I have a "feeling satisfied" question...

For breakfast I had 1 piece of bread with 1 TSP of PB
Snack was 12 chips 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 2 TBS salsa
and I was satisfied after both
For lunch today I had left over veggie/chicken stirfry in a wrap and 20 oz of water. After I was done eating I still felt hungry, but told myself that it takes 20-30 min. to satisfy the tummy and to wait an hour and see how it is. So here I sit not satisfied with my lunch an hour after eating.

What do I do? Do I eat because I am hungry or do I find something to take my mind off of my hunger until snack time (3:00 usually) I find that the hungrier I am the more I tend to binge so I really don't want to lead myself to a binge later today.

I am a little discouraged that my healthy lunch left me so unsatisfied.

Smurf -- well, salads FULL of veggies on the side really do it for me: lots of volume really helps make a meal satisfying. Or maybe you could add a big piece of fruit? But you can see that it is the opposite for Shari, so I guess you have to keep experimenting to find what is perfect for you. And make sure you aren't cutting your overall calories back TOO far, because feeling hungry is really the enemy!

hello everyone, so it seems lots as been happening in the three days ive been gone, mystery people signing up eeeek!!
So Im a pound down, but to be honest I think that was more due to good luck than anything. Friday night I was very down in the dumps and felt like a fat tramp.. so of course I comfort ate - my next question is why when i feel disgusting do i then eat crap to "make myself feel better"?! Its a stupid mindset. Sigh.
Saturday night we went to a wedding and drank too much. Oops. Sunday afternoon we did very little. Monday I had an active morning doing horse stuff, but the afternoon went downhill in a big way. I am my own worst enemy I swear. So im feeling cross with myself. Off to the gym tonight.
Will be back to read all your posts properly later, I just needed to vent first thing this morning!!
