  • Okay - TOM decided to show up (over a week late), so this week wasn't stellar. However, I'm okay with it. I've been staying OP, working out, and I am starting to really see and feel muscle. Now while a realize that a pound of fat weighs the same as a pound of muscle, since muscle is leaner, it weighs more per volume. This being said, and the fact that I am and really seeing a difference in inches I'm okay with not hitting my goal.

  • My TOM starts Thursday, so I felt like I was bloating like none other yesterday, and was just generally moody and unhappy. UGH! But I woke up to a nice surprise of another pound loss this morning! So -1.8 pound loss for me this week

  • It's my TOM, so I didn't expect any loss, but the scale is saying I've gained a pound. I'm mostly disappointed I'm not going to get close to my goal for the month now.

  • I've been under 145 for about 2 weeks now, which feels great! I'm hovering at about 143, but knowing with Thanksgiving tomorrow it'll probably bounce up again, but I'm so happy that I'm in the lower side of the 140's for the first time in my life I can remember!
  • Hang in there, ladies! We want to have our heads in the game for Thanksgiving!

    No more TOMs for me, apparently, but the hot flashes aren't much fun--maybe they burn calories?

  • How is everyone doing? I'm not going to make my goal but I'm planning to finish the month in a good place to set me up for next month.
  • I will not make my goal either - 15 pounds was WAY too high. However, I will have lost between 5 and 7, so I think my goal for next month will be about 7 because the second half of the month I will be on semester break and able to focus on eating right and losing weight for 3-4 weeks straight with no worries about work or classes. I can't wait
  • I actually ended up altering my goal because I found out that my SW was off by a pound! My goal is now 220, which I believe I can get to in the next two days, as I am 222 right now!

  • Well I'm back up to 145.0 exactly but I knew I'd see a little gain after Thanksgiving. Just thought that 1 week was enough to get back to normal, but guess not! Thankfully though i'm still at goal for November, so I'm happy!

    Since I am just completing my TOM, and the month is also ending with me being about three pounds away from my goal, I've been thinking:

    - that even if I don't meet my goal (likely), that not only did I NOT gain weight in a challenging month for Americans, but I lost some pounds, too
    - that having this goal has really kept me focused and in-control
    - that it's great to have the support of other like-minded weight-loss buddies

    We'll see where we all end up come November 30, or December 1, if you prefer. However we end up, I'm sure that it's better off than where we started!
