  • Wiccky, you are in my prayers. **HUGS** I pray all is well...
  • Hi

First off all I think you attitude is amazing, treatment can be rough and it messes with your hormones as well so you can be all over the place.
I had bowel cancer when I was 18 I am now completely cancer free long may it last.
My only advice to you is to talk about everything you are feeling, weird I know but fear is a lot worse when its kept to yourself.

Also make sure you allow yourself to cry, laugh , be angry when you feel them and tell other people not to be scared to do the same. I found a lot off people adopted what I called the 'hospital' face when they came to see me and wouldn't share any good news in their lives as they thought it would be selfish...

AND ginger...fresh ginger, helps with the sickness, if you can't stomach to eat or drink it, just smell it,....or treat yourself to a ginger bread man.

you and your family are in my prayers...

I am still alive and kickin' (and puking) but alive.

chemo really kicked my butt. keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I need alot of strength that I just don't have.

how are you feeling?? Is your radio session begun,

you are in my prayers and my thoughts xxxx
  • Almost a year later.....
So I made it through 4 excruciating months of chemo and 18 sessions of radiation. They poisoned me, fried me and I came through it alive. My throat hurts from the radiation burns, but it is healing. I know it sounds like I am whining, but honest-to-god, i am just glad I am made it, as the docs say I am now CANCER FREE!
