  • Hey ladies - Seems some of the other threads that I've been posting to have slowed down so I'm joining you guys! I'm doing really well this week too! Finally under 160! Better stay that way! 159.8! And Jelbb...I stepped on the scale twice this morning. Within about 20 mins - and a bathroom break (so not like your situation) it also said 159.2! But I'm using 159.8 as my official weigh in. I am OBSESSED with the scale too. A little nervous about tomorrows weigh in so I will probably try to hold off the scale. I know we are going out to eat tonight and I already know what I want (not so good for me though!)

    Ahhh I´m also obssesed with the scale, I weigh in the morning, after working out, in the night, etc... but I´m learning not to panic and only use the morning numbers!
  • loss today of 1lb. 182.2. thinking i might have to weigh once/twice a week because this is driving me crazy seeing the 180s every day.
    I am determined to be in the 170s when I weigh in next friday.

    Jelbb, I'm sorry to say that I know exactly what you're talking about. damn obsession. If I wait until I've been moving around for a while I tend to be lower than when I first get up. And that's even dripping wet after a shower I'll weigh lower.

    I'd say it's in the same "WTF" category as how we can magically lose/gain 5 lbs in a day.

    YOU'RE UNDER 160!!!! I knew you would be there soon! Well done, you!!! No more of this, "you're an inspiration cos you made it under 160" cos YOU are TOO!! Honestly. I'll eat a cake for each of my meals tomorrow, and you eat carrots, then we'll be even, and we'll lose weight together.

    Chilean - You only have 3LBS to go for the Oct 10 pound goal? AWESOME! I'm really giving it a go these last few days, so I'm hoping to get close. I would like to plan for 10 more in November! I only have until Jan 15th to get 21 more pounds off!

    Do you guys ever run into the bathroom (where the scale is) during the day, take off all your clothes, and step on it??? Even though you weighed that morning!??! haha! I DO!

  • Haha! I figure there were more people out there that do that besides me. My DH threatens me that he is going to follow me in there for other activities if I keep it up! Haha!
  • After a month of no movement on the scale.. even though I've lost inches (I can tell from my clothes, I'm too lazy to measure) I've finally dropped three pounds!! Which is FANTASTIC because I was getting ready to rip my hair out

    I hardly weigh myself once a week because I don't have my own scale, but I'm picking it up from my old house today and now I know what I have to look forward to.. excessive compulsive stripping down naked to weigh myself. Can't wait!

    I think we should really start a 10 (or another number) Lbs for Novermber Thread! It has really helped me, and believe it or not I think those days eating off plan helped me (not planning to do it again though cause after I start it´s hard to stop eating junk), I started loosing more.. so, we have 8 days to get as close as we can to our goals!!

    Jamie, what happens on Jan 15th???

  • Hello everyone!! I weighed in at 210.2 lbs again today... I'm not too surprised that I didn't have a loss, because I ate something that was probably packed with sodium for my dinner last night, heh, so I certainly might've been retaining water. I'm just so glad that I didn't gain! Though I would've liked to change my ticker to 210 today. *grumble* I suppose I could, since this is my second day at 210.2... But nope! I like to be a least a little under before I change my ticker to that weight, so I'm rounding UP, not down! Lol. I also get nervous about changing my ticker right before the weekend, because I always slip up a little during those days. I definitely indulged on a couple treats today so I wouldn't be surprised if I have no loss (or, *gulp* even a small gain...) tomorrow. But overall I've lost like 4 lbs since my weight last Thursday - whoa! I hadn't realized that until just now! - so I'm pleased.

    Jelbb - YES, my scale always does that! Of course I only recently started having problems with it giving a different reading every couple seconds, but in the past I've definitely seen it give a consistent reading when I first weigh in, and then read a little lighter (sometimes up to 1 lb lighter!) an hour or so later. I wonder why that is? It's so frustrating! It makes me want to wait before I do my official weigh-in for the day, hehe.

    Bee20nine - 40 lbs for your birthday sounds like a GREAT gift to me! Hehe. Plus, that'll motivate you not to go too crazy when you're celebrating.

    ChileanChick - Congrats on those 3 lbs! Wow! It looks like you will definitely achieve that 10-lb goal, or at least be very close. Good luck to ya!

    Leighish - Aghh, I am SO jealous that you're so close to Onederland!! Who knows, you might even be there in less than a week! I mean how freaking exciting is that? I am so happy for you, girl!

    kelli32 - LOL I always weigh myself in the buff, too, and I'm always tempted to strip down and step on the scale in the middle of the day... But then I'm like, no, it's too much of a hassle to get undressed and dressed, plus I have to do it in the bathroom since my room has carpet (and we all know how that messes with scales), and since I'm in a dorm it'd be kind of odd for my roommate to see me heading towards the bathroom in a towel, and then not take a shower! Haha. If it weren't for that, I'd probably weigh myself so much more often...
  • OH yes - We need a 10 pound in November thread. Next week. It has also helped me when it comes to my food...do I need that mini pack of M&M's...um NO....I need to loose TEN POUNDS this month... so yeah...We'll do it again for November! Hopefully it will help be on Thanksgiving!

    I am going to Cabo on Jan 16th so I need to be to goal by the 15th! I have exactly 11 weeks and 6 days!

    Today is kind of a special day, y'all... I weighed in at 209.2 lbs. Yes, I have finally broken the 200s!! Woo-hoo!! It's strange, because that's a 1 lb loss since yesterday, which is a lot to lose in one day. I even stepped on and off 3-4 times because I was sure it couldn't be right, but I guess I have to believe it now, heh. After thinking about it a bit, I'm guessing that my weight was just a little inflated yesterday, from water retention from the sodium-laden stir-fry I'd had the night before... Over the course of yesterday I must have lost the water weight and perhaps a little more, ending up with a 1 pound loss! So I'm celebrating this 209, folks! Haha. Though I'm not changing my ticker yet, since I want to make sure the loss is consistent for a couple days... HOWEVER I think it's definitely time to change the ticker to 210, heh. I'm so happy to have made it into the 200s in ANY way, though!
