The retirement dinner was very nice. They did little skits about the 3 of us, and it was funny! Tim said he was very glad that he came home from school for it. The food was great!! There were 3 cakes decorated for each one of us. We had to guess which one was ours. Mine was trimmed in purple (favorite color) and had a dachsund on top! One of the others mentioned grandchildren (only Sandy has those) and the other one had an RV on it (Deb and hubby just bought one).
I never thought about gifts, but we received a teacher throw, a retirement mug and stuffed frog, flowers, and a $50 gift card! I was amazed! There were about 45 people there including us and our families. The elementary staff has about 35 people, so I thought that was a pretty good turnout.
Susan, keep us posted on how the medicine works for you. It sounds like it would be a good one to take.
Tina, sorry about your finger! I know about getting out all of the surgical equipment. We've done that several times around here.
We bought a new grill yesterday, so Bob and I grilled a steak for lunch today to try it out. Yummy!! We can keep this one right outside the porch so it will be much handier than when we had one before.
It's 85 here today. All the windows are open, and the breeze is blowing through. It feels great!
Tonight is our reunion for the April Emmaus Walk. I'm taking bbq meatballs. I planned to make a dessert too, but I don't know if I'll get it done. Might run to the grocery and get a pie or something. Their bakery is quite good. I have a little bit of the cake leftover from last night, but it would only be enough for a couple people so I guess I shouldn't take that.

They either fade or unravel.

Susan, I'm so happy for you. Vacation! It sounds like you started it off good. How was the movie?
