DewCan, I'll have to come and see your flatland for myself one day. I wouldn't say my part of PA is hillier than where I grew up or Alberta, but there are still slopes and whatnot. Not major mini-mountain type hills. Where I walk, the "hills" are slight inclines that go for quite a long way. I was dismissing the hilliness and chalking up my breathlessness to being out of shape at first. But I realized that even the athletic-looking walkers/runners/bikers were really puffing to get up them, so now I take them more seriously. And everyone here does call them hills. Definitely not level ground, anyway.
Knee seems better this morning, so I'm hoping to get in at least a short walk today.

at your treadmill story. I was picturing it, did you stumble, that's just hilarious. How long did it take for you to go the 10 miles, that's just sooo far for one hike. I'm occasionally thinking of a treadmill. Once our basement gets done then I just might. Any tios on how to buy the right one?
how silly.
! I'm scheduled for 4 miles bright and early (6 am!!) tomorrow.
