JustForUs -- What sort of exercise will you be using your gym shoes for? My shoes are Brooks brand and they are specifically running shoes (and I LOVE them!). Make sure you get shoes designed for what you will be doing with them (running, walking, cross-training, whatever)!
Jenna -- I always feel like I'm obsessed with food. I am such a foodie! The first thing I thought of when I made arrangements to go home for a few days was all the food I could get in LA that I can't get in Providence!
I always buy Cooking Light and flip through it, or Martha Stewart Living, just to look at pictures of food. Food has always been such an important part of my life, that's why losing weight is so hard!Christy -- I have exactly the opposite problem!
You know that song lyrics, "Little in the middle but she got much back"?
That is totally me, I have the biggest butt ever. My ultimate dream is for my thighs not to rub together! But I don't think that's even possible unless I was starving to death. I also have a big chest. I remember in high school, when I was looking for a prom dress, every single dress I tried on the same thing would happen: I pull on the dress, start to zip it up. It is looking great, and then . . . !! It doesn't zip up over my huge chest.
It was such a struggle! Nowadays, when I buy jeans, they will be tight on my hips and butt and thighs, but the waistband will be hanging off! Or with shirts, I will have to go up a size or two to find one that fits my chest, and then it looks like a tent on my stomach!I wish we could all have the perfectly proportioned body, where clothes would all fit right. It seems like no matter what your body type is, you will be unhappy with it. I had a friend who was really skinny and boyish, and I always thought "wow, she is built like a model." She hated her body though, because she could never gain weight no matter how hard she tried, and clothes didn't look good on her because they were designed for curves she didn't have!

I skipped sizes.. went from a B to a D to a DD by my freshman year of hs! Everyone in my house is the same size.. I got so excited when my mom got me bras that weren't white for Christmas.. in fact they had pretty designs, like *gasp!* smaller sizes! I never had those before! Why do they think that big chested women don't want to wear pretty bras? And my tummy used to stick out past my boobs too.. so I know how that is! It's one of the reasons I feel strange running... my boobs bounce everywhere!
