  • Quote: I'm a nurse practitioner in a 800 bed urban trauma center...but I work in cardiac electrophysiology, not very exciting...cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers and internal defibrillators!
What pacemakers not exciting!!! Sorry I have a pacemaker had to LOL

I'm a Housing Specialist for Domestic Violence Victims.
  • I work per diem as a pharmacy technician at our local hospital . My 3wonderful children 14, 11, & 3 take up the rest of my time!
  • I am a painter (yes, a painter of pictures for walls, not someone who comes in and paints those walls), kinda sorta retired. I was a computer typesetter for many years.
  • I am a occupational therapy assistant, and will be starting my BA in human sciences here shortly
  • I have the best job in the world!!! I am a Comptroller (I oversee the accounting) for a Toyota dealership in Wyoming. I get to work from home and I travel to Wyoming for a week every other month to keep in touch with everyone. Wyoming is one of my "homes" so I get to see a lot of my family when I go there. I get to live in Alaska and spend lots of time with my family here too. I am blessed
  • Quote: Super cool thread!

I love seeing other female geeks out there

I'm currently a business systems analyst for a logistics company. Most of my life has been software and systems engineering.

BS's in Computer Science and Mathematics.
Another geek here. Started out in Software engineering and am now an Engineering Manager. I have a team of ~ 25 engineers reporting to me on a multi-million dollar program.

My "best" job is being mom to 2 grown young women (mid-20s, both on their own now) and to 3 little fluffballs - 2 cockapoo dogs and 1 Biewer pup.
  • This is a fun thread! I was also a computer typesetter in the 70s and 80s. Went to college and became a science teacher. I have 150 13 year olds and love showing them science magic everyday. My future engineers are on their way!
  • I'm an RN. I have been an RN for about 13yrs. I have dabbled in a few specialties including working on a blood mobile. I traveled a bit too. Right now I am a float RN at the local hospital and I love it.
  • Quote: I am a published Romance Author, with about 30 books under my belt. I use a different name than the one on here, a fake one to give my husband a little separation from my steamy work. LOL. I also have 3 kids under 7 so I'm very busy with that too. We recently moved from NJ to TX.
Yes! You must tell us the name of your books!! I would love to read one! I am looking at your avatar and you do look familiar.
  • Quote: We started doing Ideal Protein because a friend of ours, who is also a nurse, had great success with it. And we figured if a nurse was doing it, it must be medically safe!
Hey Pam, you are not too far away!! Where is your clinic or did I ask that in a previous thread. This diet is very popular in this area right now. (I am in Fairhaven.)
  • What a cool thread! I am an attorney (criminal prosecutor) for the largest county in MT. However my true love is training and showing dogs in both conformation (think Westminster) and performance events :-)
  • Quote: I am a full time RN working in a 15 bed hospital in town.
OMG 15 bed?? That's not even the size of one of the floors I work on!! I would love to know what's its like.
  • How totally fun! Love this thread!!

Presently I am a new business owner of a Laser Hair Removal, Aesthetics and Beautytek (skin tightening, firming, toning, lifting) clinic in Alberta...since Dec 1, 2012!! I figured I would need as much help as possible after I reached goal with IP

And like many others my formal education is not being used, but I do love school, so who knows what will come in the future.

I have an amazing husband and two monkeys...that others refer to as children
  • I am a second grade teacher in a private catholic school.
  • I am a caregiver to my 58 yr old husband (I am 51) who is recently disabled from years of diabetes. Also take care of our pre-teen daughter. Not sure what is ahead but I am keeping a positive attitude. This is a great thread!
