I'm also beginning to show now. I'll be in my 17th week tomorrow and my bf has been reminding me all week that my stomach is rounding out.(I still sleep on my stomach, so I keep telling myself it's not gonna happen because I don't want to have to sleep on my side!)

I am a stomach sleeper and it gets too painful for me at about 5-6 weeks. One thing that helps me stay on my side (because I will roll to my stomach in my sleep and wake up in excruciating pain) is my giant, u-shaped body pillow. It hems me in in front and in back and gives me something to put between my knees so my hips don't hurt from sleeping on my side. It's also fantastic back support later in the pregnancy. If you find you have a hard time staying on your side, I'd definitely give it a try.

But I also agree that if I'm doing everything right and still gaining, then it must be needed.
