  • Went to JC today and stayed the same. Not bad with all the BP issues. I think my medicine is adjusted now. Will be having lunch soon and getting ready for the Wake tonight and funeral tomorrow.

I have several eating out occasions this week and I need to have strength as I am a stress/comfort eater. Wish me luck.

My life should be back to my own on Tuesday. I miss you all.
  • Vickie, for willpower. Now send me some, too, please.
  • Vickie

Sandra, we have 2 or 3 snow days left, but snow is on its way!

Nancy, how has your V day gone? Hope you took some time for some happy memories

Rhonda, you are definitely a cool aunt

    Happy Valentine's Day, y'all
  • Thanks, Sloan. We had a great party today and the girls were so proud of their work, telling everyone what they had done with all of the baking.

I did my personal best today on the elliptical trainer: 40 minutes! I plan to keep this going.

    Rhonda
  • Rhonda, your party sounds like a lot of fun. You built a lot of wonderful memories. Kudos on the exercising!
  • Rhonda.. that sounds like something they will always remember!!

I had a nice day. Robin and I ate at On The Border and instead of the soup I decided to get my favorite and just eat half, so I think I didn't go too far over
my calories today. I brought the rest home to my son who arrived home this evening.

Robin took a fall today at church right as he went to stand up after service.
He was okay but I felt so bad for him.

My dog is older and has had 2 knee surgeries and tonight she has hurt her back leg again. I hope it will be better tomorrow. My brother is a vet so she has a
round the clock vet on call

Well it doesn't sound like it but we have had a nice day . LOL
  • Love you guys! So far so good. The wake was so sad.
  • Nancy, I hope your dog is all right. I can imagine how embarassed Robin must have felt, but tell him things like that happen to all of us. Sounds like you did well at On the Border. Good choice!

    Vickie, I miss you.
  • Good Morning Ladies

Nothing new, except I lost a pound and was surprised with all the going out to restaurants this week.I also made some chili and put it in a bread bowl for last night supper.

SANDRA-The antibiotics must be working as my cyst doesn't hurt anymore. Was lucky that doctor took me right away.

Sloan-I'm warm at toasty as we have a gas insert fireplace when the outage occurred and the down stairs the temps were in the 80's and up stairs is was in the 70's.

Nancy-Sorry about your bad feeling about Valentines Day. I went to the cemetery yesterday and put some red valentine flowers at his grave. It was sad to go there, but I manage to go.

VICKIE-You too lost some one on Feb 14th. We all take death differently, its got it bitter sweet memories.Sorry you had to go though this twice. Sending you way.

RHONDA-I have a exercising question for you. I haven't been near any form of activity since Leo passed away.I like to start up again with Leslies WATP's walking tapes and would like to know, Should I start with 15 mins a day and than switch to 30,or do I stay on the 15 mins for a week than change or should I stay on for 2 weeks and than move on.TIA

    Have to start my dinner.
  • Hi everyone! I'm still here. I had a nice Valentine's Day. Dh and the girls made dinner AND cleaned up for me, while I read a book. I did have some sugar over the weekend, but it ended up making me feel pretty icky, so I'm back on the wagon now.

I made the mistake of taking a nap yesterday afternoon, and then couldn't fall back asleep after I got up to use the bathroom at 3 am. I think it's so unfair the sleep disturbances you have during your 3rd trimester. It would be nice to store up some sleep for the many disturbances I'll have in 2 more months!

I'm making a shrimp jambalaya for supper tonight, along with some cornbread.

Hope everyone has a great day!
    Angela
