  • Quote: But to say that I should weigh 112 or LESS is just a little insane to me.
Yes, that is probably why the reactions have been as they have - 5'7", 122 pounds, as an example, is not given as a possible good weight for some. It is given as the maximum weight for all.
  • And the key word being MAXIMUM.

At least with the BMI, it has a minimum and a maximum for a health weight, a range because everyone's bodies are different. The chart on the greensmoothiegirl is too broad.
  • I'm about 5'7 and have been as low as 112 - back in the days of barely eating and exercising like a maniac! I maintained around 125 for a year or so as well and yeah...it did NOT look good. Stick arms, lolly pop head and no muscle tone whatsoever.

These days I'm aiming for around 138-ish give or take one or two. I also have a heap more lean muscle this time around.

Funnily enough size wise when I was 125 I wore a size 8 (US 4) and at my current 145 I'm a size 8/10 (US 4/6) - goes to show what a little muscle can do to a frame eh?
  • At 5'9" it says I should be 132 lbs. My goal is around 135 so I'm not too far off.

It sounds low for my height but apparently I have a small frame and any extra fat/weight makes me look dumpy and terrible.
  • Great... I'm 5'4" so I'm supposed to be under108 lbs? Now they have me a little obsessed! My goal had been 110... think I'll change it to 100...
