Well, after finally getting around to reading about bruised ribs on the Net, I figure that's what I have because the descriptions and people's experiences are exactly like mine. So, now I don't feel so bad. I am just going to take it easy (which means NOT taking painkiller so I work through the pain instead of against it) and doing what I CAN do instead of thinking about what I can't do.
I am using some NLP (neurolinguistic programming) techniques concerning eating and I am hoping they will help.
Ever heard of that?
Have to go pick up my new mobile phone. You know they cost about $600 for a new one but you can find deals or go for a cruddy model. I got a half price deal on a slightly older model if I pay up front, so only $300. Not bad, considering.
I'm going to concentrate on awareness of what I'm putting in my mouth, which should help me stop being surprised when I don't lose weight. I think I've said it before, but when you look at the math, it's so easy to wipe out a week or even two weeks' of efforts in a day or two (at least when I do it
)Heck, it's just like money. It flies out of my hands at the speed of light!

Apple -- I hadn't wanted to ask how you were doing because I feared the worst, but I'm so glad to hear you are doing well on the no beer challenge.
Take these challenges one at a time if that will get you through one. The beer has always been hard for you, so don't think little of this accomplishment. I have done no alcohol and such for long stretches (for me long) and the fact that I'm not working now means temptations are rare. When I am on my own, I tend to do healthy things.
Anyhow, don't worry about me. A mere mention makes me feel better. Bad patches are part of my life. I moan and throw tantrums but I AM getting better. I have had a lot of contact with Brits in recent years and I think the wingeing has worn off on me.

Shad -- "How long have you got?" What is your goal? Do you have a certain date by which you want to lose a certain amount?
diyana -- How are you doing?

Don't worry. I'll never be a Pom.
Oh well, I will walk more at work today and am going to the gym tonight.

(carrots, tomato, cucumber, celery, lemon, hemp oil, red pepper, asparagus)
Good for you for climbing right back on the horse!
