You're right about the ancestors part--I think mine crossed the Bering Strait 12,000 years ago to get here...I wish sometimes they'd headed to southern Asia or the one of those nice little polynesian islands. I'd be sipping MaiTais right now instead of contemplating my Sorels.
Cdnwebgrl - Nice work on all the walking!!
Bopeep - I love your avatar.
2B - Now I have to go and see what this Jillian Michaels is all about...I thought she was the one from the UK with 'You are what you eat'. Apparently not. lol. I'm so behind the times...
It's freakin freezin here on the prairie. It's all dry skin and toques from here on in. Hahaha. All my Christmas parties are done for the season. Yay!!! Now I just have to stay on track and somewhat active....

I've thrown my back out a few times and it is Not Fun!
Take care of it and remember that no chore is important enough that you have to do it now - rest up and recover!
This time of year is particularly difficult to diet in, since we're all expected to socialise heavily (and drink and eat), and there are soooo many once a year tasty things to sample... You did get some activity in, and maybe that's what you need to focus on first, maybe the dieting will fall into place once you've started to get more fit. That's how it is for me anyhow
. BTW - you can sip mai tais and pretend you're somewhere warm! If I didn't have this blasted cold I'd get DH to make me one right now. Hmmm... wait a minute, maybe it would help...

I'm so glad to have finally fallen off that blasted plateau!! I know they happen, but it's sooo frustrating to see the scale stuck at the same number for months! I know me, and if I do something to start losing again before by body is ready, it'll backfire on me. I have to wait and keep at the same level of activity and calories until my body has adjusted. Patience!
