Hi everyone, I hope everyone's fine and stays OP today. I'm fine and still OP since 11/25. That's good for me. Other than too many veggies, I'm eating perfectly, just have to remember to drink all that water. Sorry I'm popping in again for a minute, but hopefully, I'll get to come back .


Sarah, It is a hard time of year for Induction, but keep trying. For me, I find that by being on Induction when I can during the holidays helps me at least maintain and feel better about myself. If I have a few times I have to go off, it's not so hard for me to get back on like if I wasn't doing it at all. Have fun with your blog. I've started a few, but never seem to keep up on them; I should.

Im on induction, have been for going on 4 weeks now.

Well...I am being good today (one day, one meal, one moment at a time!!) but, I betcha that once Jan 1st rolls around I am going to be 'mega clean induction'!!! I am not one of those 'new years resolutions people' but, it is always nice after the holidays...this year I would have made goal but I got really really sick mid year and so did my daughter...she had to have major surgery in May...

So, that's my little story.

I want to get to 110 this year...I wanted to be at 105 but that would be a little too too low. I just now want to have the scale moving downward rather than upward..lol!!! I am only 5'1" and I am about 140ish now...

I'm thinkin' that if I can just ignore the fudge, peanut brittle, and plate of homemade christmas cookies for 1 1/2 more hours, I'll be going home, and out of site, out of mind... right?

Several things are going on right now - end of the year crunch at work, my Mom's been in the hospital since Monday and things aren't going well, TOM is coming in the next few days, etc. I've always eaten to deal with emotional stuff like worry, anxiety and sadness. Fudge and cookies are favorites of mine and I really want some. I keep thinking "how bad would one little cookies really be?" but I think that's just Satan talking to me - this is really hard.

hey guys. so weight loss is done 8 lbs now. Its funny my sister was telling me, "MAN you have lost a lot of weight"...well i didn't think so until today. HAH, it literally makes me giggle when i think about it. I have a big friend/family/wedding coming next weekend and wanted to see what in the world i would wear. So i tried on a pair of size 14 pants, that when i bought were really tight...well they were LOOSE! It was insane i started wearing all these clothes and they were semi-loose (still a while to go before they just fall off of me) but it was great! i cannot wait to show off this coming weekend, not necessarily my weight loss but the confidence that i have been lacking for quite some time.

Also, i have lost weight primarily from my chest, my face and strangely enough my FACE! just wondering if that is happening to anyone, i mean the foot loss? haha oh i am just so....happy .

8 pounds is awesome, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Isn't the foot thing cool? I think at first it's the loss of retained water, but I've heard from others that they've gone down a size or two when they lost a lot of weight. I hope it works that way for me because I currently wear an 11WW shoe, and have a lot of difficulty finding any that fit me! Cute clothes aren't hard to find, but shoes? OY! I can't wait to wear a 9 or 10

Hi Sara, and welcome! I hope you and your daughter are both fully recovered, and that 2006 is healthy and much less traumatic for you both.

Yesterday was a hard one for me, very emotional. The whole TOM emotional thing can be really overwhelming, especially when there are other things going on. I sooooo wanted to pig out on the goodies, and it was almost painful to resist, but I did. I stopped at Walgreens on the way home and bought a pack of Russell Stovers Net Carb peppermint patties. I've seen them but hadn't tried them because I do strict Atkins (carb - fiber only) and by that math, they have 16 grams of carbs, not the .5 they advertise on the label. I made some decaf, added cream and SF syrup, and ate my candy. O my are they ever good! I kept checking the label because they taste so good I was sure they were illegal. You know what was really weird? I nibbled away, and was satisfied with one. For a binge eater like me who can knock out at a dozen or so toll house cookies in a day, that's miraculous. It was so freeing to realize I could occationally eat a LITTLE something sweet, stop before it was gone, and not want to go back for more an hour later. Wow!

My plan for the weekend is to clean my house, do laundry, etc. make a batch of lotion, get some orders out, and make a gift basket or two for Christmas. I'm going to put a roast in the crockpot, and make fake mashed potatoes for supper on Sunday. My goal is to be done with everything I need to do so I can sit down Sunday evening after supper, listen to Christmas music and write out some Christmas cards

Cotinara - congrats on your 8lb loss, that's awesome! Doesn't it feel great when other people notice! Makes it more real. I haven't noticed loss in my feet, but then my feet haven't been the same since I was pg .

Sorry to hear you're going through so much at the moment Tenn! Saying prayers for your mom! Good for you sticking to one treat. I saw sf syrup at the store yesterday and thought of you gals putting it in your coffee & such, but strangely enough, it didn't have a nutrition label on it????? I need to see the label despite the claim of being SF. I thought everything had to be labelled. Sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead, hope you are able to enjoy it and that your mom is doing better!!

As for me, the Whoosh Fairy finally came & the scale MOVED!!! It actually went down too : . I don't think body weight had anything to do with it tho...it's all clearing of body fluids (sinus's) that did it . If I'm still sick by next week, I'm going to scream. In the past 14 days, I've felt good & thought the flu/cold was gone for a whole 1/2 a day. Makes exercising real fun when you can't breathe so I haven't done anything the past 2 days. Anyway enough of those boo-hoo's, I am thrilled about the scale, but not going to change my sig. till Monday - just in case I was dreaming this morning .

Cortinara~ WTG on the 8lbs!! Yup, your feet get skinnier too, I was an 11, now Im a 9 1/2 or 10 You know....there are so many more to choose from when your feet are smaller!!!!!

Tenn~ Im so proud of you! Emotional eating is a real tough one to beat, but you did it yesterday. Did you feel better for it this morning? Thoughts and prayers for you and your mom.

I did good yesterday eating wise. We went out to lunch with friends, the only flub was the bread crumbs in the ceasar salad. I didnt even bother to ask, I just assumed Id get croutons, and I could pick them out. Well, I didnt get croutons You know, buttered breadcrumbs are very good in ceasar salad There wasnt any way I was going to pick them out, and dh said, "I dont think you have to worry about it, we'll just watch later tonight if you have trouble" He's so sweet Well, we didnt have to worry about later, because my system was rejecting the lettuce Big Time. We ate at 230, I was still burping sour lettuce at bedtime (10) I havent had any lettuce in months, for just this reason. It doesnt usually agree with me. Sometimes its ok, and others its not. Yesterday was a "not". Oh well, we had fun, and enjoyed the company

Today's plan get some exercise in. Yesterday didnt see any. Have the tree up, but I need to pick up a few more decorations. I had some old stuff that I tossed last night, so maybe a few more gold glittery things.

With all the water Im holding, I think I'll skip the scale on monday. (unless the floatation devices empty out) Which I dont think they will. The scale affects me too much. If it doesnt go down, and even if I know its because of retention, I'll mess up. (no I dont trust myself).

Hey guys..just checking in for the day. Went to breakfast w/Santa and ate eggs, some bacon and some sausage...stayed away from the like 4 or 5 big big plates of danishes, doughnuts, pastries!!! Go me!

hi guys, just in and out, have to clean my house because hopefully I'm getting my flooring put in tomorrow.

Just got back from my conceal and carry class. Now I have to go to the sheriff's office and do a bunch of stuff then wait 90 days to get my actual license. It will feel SOOOOOOO good knowing that I'm protected from weirdos and rabid skunks on my daily walks.

Hey ladies,
It's official - the words "cheeseburger soup" officially causes my stomach to churn. I went over by 19 carbs yesterday, but for the week i'm only over by 1 total. I went over cause I drank 2 packets of emergen-c & then ate some taco salad. That salad was sooooo good. I have a very busy week ahead, so I'm going to try really hard not to get too stressed. Tenn, I'll remember to pray for your mom tonight. & with all the stress, even if you do fall off - keep visiting. Eventually we will motivate you to get back on!

I am going to finish this turkey & cheese salad & go get some bellydancing in while the girls are asleep

Thanks for the support girls. Strangely enough, I haven't been too hungry today, although I would still like to eat mac 'n' cheese or do some baking (and eating). I keep thinking that what goes in my mouth is the one thing I have control over, it's my mantra, and it seems to be helping things a little.

Mom came home from the hospital today, hospital bed and oxygen tank in tow. They're pretty sure she has lung cancer, but won't know for a few days till all the tests come back. Her one lung is still collapsed, but she says she's not in any pain, not even any discomfort except the tubing stuff behind her ears that annoys her when she has her reading glasses on, so that's good.

It's really tough to be this far away now, and makes me wonder if maybe I need to move back to CA. I don't want to, I really like it here and I'm content with the life I've made for myself, but... I keep trying to pray about it and see what God would have me do, but I can't seem to stay focused or connected, you know what I mean? At any rate, your prayers for me and my family are appreciated more than I can say!

I am totally wanting something sweet right now...argh!
