I'm currently re-reading a Nora Roberts favorite of mine, "Face the Fire" - the third book in one of her trilogies. I read the other two books this past week. I have a few favorites of hers that I re-read at least once a year.

My new year's resolution was to read more "classic" books. I'm currently trying to get through Great Expectations by Dickens. It's a tough read!

I just finished "Color of Magic", the first Discworld book. Very interesting, lots of fun. I'm resisting falling down the rabbit hole of buying book after book, though, especially since they all have to be ebooks. That means I don't have anything to read for now. :/ I'm moving internationally again in a few months, and regular books are super heavy in your suitcase. -_-

I've just started Wolf Hall by Hillary Mantel. It's a gripping tale of the court of Henry 8th, Anne Bolyne and Thomas Cromwell. You may have seen the BBC adaption of it last year?

Not half Lizzie. I found all Dickens like wading through treacle. He and Thomas Hardy can't be accused of using 1 word where they could use 5 could they?

I just finished reading 'In a Dark Dark Wood' by Ruth Ware & 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell.

Then I got interested in various topics so recently went to Barnes and Noble and bought all these different books
'Sapiens' & 'Homo Deus' by Yuval Harari, a collection of stories by Franz Kafka, 'I am Malala' by Malala Yousufzai. I was also gifted '1984' by George Orwell.

So I've started reading
- stories by Kafka
- 1984
- I was also halfway through 'The Checklist Manifesto' by Dr. Atul Gawande.

So many books to read, so less time!!!

I just finished My Absolute Darling, and I have some seriously mixed feelings.

I've just started Little Fires Everywhere.

For the week of Thanksgiving, I'll be at the beach and need to start stocking up on books!!!

I really love to read Dystopian novels... most of which are tagged under Young Adult -- but I still enjoy the genre even though i'm in my 30s.

Some of my favorite dystopians include: Feed, Chaos walking series, and Uglies series.
Also like sci-fiction light reads -- like the Lux Series, and the Seraphina Parrish Trilogy

Currently reading the second book in the Shatter Me series called Unravel me.

Would love any dystopian recommendations! My 11 year old has recently read Feed, the Hunger Games series, the Uglies series, the Divergent books, and a few others and she'd really like more! The only thing she hasn't enjoyed at all was the Maze Runner series. She just wasn't interested. Thanks!!!
