Short chicks, what's your ideal weight?

  • I'm 5' with a small frame. I looked great at 102, decent at 107, and started to get chunky looking around 112. But that was before I had any muscle.

I'm 116 lbs (give or take) right now and a size 4 (give or take). I am shooting for 104 plus same/more muscle than I have now, but that may be a bit too low. I'd probably be happy at 107.
  • Quote: Hello - I'm not actually a 'short' chick now. I'm 5"5'.

But this is a recent growth spurt (!) I'm 21 and have been this height since 20, but when I was 18 I was just under 5"3'
How did you get a growth spurt? I'd kill for one of those.

If you measure your wrist you can find out what frame you are. My wrist is 5.5 exactly, so I am on the border of medium framed, but I'm aiming for 110-112. I'm also pear shaped and although I quite like the upper half of my body as it is, my stomach is relatively flat most of the time, I HATE my lower body and based my goal weight on my legs and especially my thighs. I'm using it as a loose indicator and will probably reassess when I get a little closer to my goal and decide whether I want to be lower or higher.

  • I am 5'2" and large framed (6in wrist and 2.75in elbow breadth) and my goal weight is 115...130 to 120 was pretty easy, these last 5 are taking forever!
  • My GW is a little higher than most of you - I'm around 5"2 and I'm aiming for around 130-132lbs because that's what I feel is realistic for me. I've always been chubby, ever since I was a kid, and I just don't know if my body is built to be any smaller. I will have to find my measuring tape and measure my wrist to find out my frame size. Thanks for that tip!
  • I'm aiming for between 120 and 110 lbs. I can't remember why I chose those numbers exactly. But I don't remember being under 9 stones (126 lbs) as an adult. Though I have a feeling that it's not realistic for me to maintain a weight as low as 110 lbs. Doesn't stop me from giving it a go though.
  • I picked 110lbs a long time ago, because it seemed like a dream at the time, and heck, you always need a goal. I just weighed myself this morning, and I'm 112. Holy crap.

I've now changed my goal to 105lbs. And still kind of reeling in shock.
  • Actually my "ideal" weight is supposed to be around 110-115 for my height of 5"3. I have a really small frame, small boobies and not really wide hips. My first goal was 100, I'll see when I'll be there. I currently have a plateau at 105 even though I was down to 102 lately. It's annoying!
  • I'm 5'0" and have a small frame, so 110-115 lbs is my ideal range in my own mind
  • I'm 5' with a large frame, and I'd like to get down to 130 lbs (my lowest adult weight). I weighed in the high 120s during high school, but when I dieted and got down to 120, my face looked kind of gaunt and unattractive. 130 is just right for me.
  • Quote: when i was 16 , i was 5'1-5'2 and weighed around 120lbs. But i have a muscular build. i was in size 0, and 1. I even remember weighing 130 and wearing 1s and 3s. Now i'm slightly taller id say 5'3 right about 5'4 and am 135. Ideally, i wanna get to 125. But my sister in law i saw her over the weekend and she is 117 and wears 1's but has no muscle..but id like to look lean. I guess when i lose these last ten i can re evaluate if needed. Mainly, i want to be slim looking as well as what the scale says
I'm like you, but I'm just shy of 5'. I am about 130 now and wear 4's or tight 2's, and I'm usually standing around 123 or so in 2's.
When I was in college I got down to 112 by hardly eating and running/lifting for two hours a day. I was wearing 0's.

I think I'd be happy around 115. My lowest post-baby weight was 119, and I looked great.
  • I'm 4'11".. I'm at 131 right now... My ideal weight is 115. That is what I weighed right after high school and was wearing size 2. Right now I wear size 8's. I have a large butt and thighs.
  • I'm 5' 2" with a small frame. My goal is 110. I am hour glass to pear shaped. I have a big butt and heavy thighs with large saddlebags. I'm having a really tough time losing the weight in my lower body.
  • I'm 5'2.5, curvy (DD boobs and I have hips) and small boned and I thought my ideal weight would be 125, well now I'm at 125 and I would now like to be at 115, I think I will be happy with another ten pounds gone.
  • I'm 4'9.5". My average weight in my late teens, early 20s was between 107-117. At that weight, I wasn't overly thin and still had plenty of curves. Post kids, my weight leveled off at the 135-140 mark. During a 6 month period between Oct 2009 and 2010, I experienced some health issues including very low vitamin D levels and self-medicated with food and very little physical activity and spiked up to 165lbs - yikes! After a year and a half of slow and steady weight loss, I am currently down to 125. I'm feeling pretty good, and just squeezing into a size 8. I know that after 2 kids and with a very curvy build ( i.e. big bust, butt, + hips) I can't aim to be super skinny, but I would love to get to a point where I feel good in a pair of jeans ( which I haven't worn in over 10 years ). My initial goal going forward is 114 ... followed by a revisit to my adult low of 107. I would love to see what I would look and feel like below 100, but I am also reasonable and realize that my body may not be built for that. I have also learned that muscle tone is key to avoid those jiggles, so fitness needs to be a goal as well as that dreaded number on the scale
  • I'm in between 5 feet/5'1" with a small frame and all throughout highschool I was 105 - 113 lbs and was 108 lbs when I left for college. I'm hoping to get back down to that weight but I've been stuck in the lower 120's for what feels like forever :/
