    Diana I think it has something to do with the weather. We went from 90-100 degree temps to 60-80 degree temps. It was so chilly some evenings/nights we needed a jacket. Everyone seems to be coming down with some type of cold and it's making them feel really bad. Summer colds are bad to begin with. Well hope everyone gets better soon.

  • Saturday is over now, let's see what I've eaten today:

    Breakfast:
    Gluten free Chelsea bun and a small iced tea that really wasn't very nice, followed by a walk round the village during which I found the Happiest Cat In The World. It was having a dust bath in a hole in the road, and it looked totally blissed out. Really made me smile.

    Lunch:
    Japanese omlette made with two eggs, soy sauce and mirin and cooked in low-fat butter. VERY light and VERY tasty.

    Then I went round the supermarket with Mum, because she can't push heavy trolleys or lift heavy bags, so I've done my share of resistance for the day!

    Dinner:
    Baked salmon in a teriyaki marinade with steamed rice, steamed broccoli, steamed cauliflower and half a corn cob. Plus a glass of OJ and ice.

    ...followed by a small bowl of Haagen Daas Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream. And I mean small. Like, only three spoonfuls.

    Not done too badly today! LOOK, VEGETABLES!

    I'm pretty excited about tonight. My best girl friend and I are going to get mani/pedis, eat sushi, and see two movies (Twilight Eclipse and Sex and the City 2) .

    = apprx 1,390 calories

    I saved 100-150 calories for a movie snack. Hopefully the sushi will have filled me up, but if I must get something it's going to be ff Twizzlers and water!

  • Why do I do it?! Why? I know that when I got to my sisters I cant resist. They keep telling me its ok to eat foods you like, its ok to cheat now and then... I broke all my goals.

    I promised myself I wouldnt have soda this month. I did.I promised I'd keep my portions down.... I stuffed myself. I promised I'd stay at 1200 -1400 calories... I dont even want to think about how much I ate today.

    Breakfast at home... Slim-fast. 180 cals. Took a bottle of vitamin water with me. Ended up having strawberries that have been soaking for days in sugar.. over cake.. with whipped cream... fried pork steak... augratin potatos and corn with way too much butter. And I kept nibbling on it way after I was full cause it tasted so damn good.

    I feel like such a failure.

    salmon, L/C Alfredo pasta with broccoli (came with chicken, I can't stand the chicken that comes in them it so I throw it away) I couldn't eat all of it (too much pasta) so I believe a little less than half was left.

    Gotta work on a better balance for digestion

  • Hi girls! First time here on the daily. Today was unusual bc I was at Mom's for the day where I always eat less (too busy chatting to eat, LOL) and I have a stuffy nose/sore throat, which is kiling the appetite.

    Goals:
    Lower- Carb (under 40 daily)
    Under 1500 calories daily

    Breakfast
    1 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup blueberries, coffee with stitch of cream

    snack- cheesestring and almonds

    Lunch- 1 minute chocolate flax cake (I know!)

    snack- grape tomatoes, sugar snap peas

    Supper - portabella veggie burger , 1 tsp honey mustard, 8 shrimp

    snack- 1/2 cup strawberries with splenda and cool whip lite
    another packet almonds
    Also: NSA cough drops, lots of water

  • My July Accountability Goal
    Okay we are into Day 4 of July, HAPPY 4th of July everyone. Anyhow my goal for July is to stay away from all fast food and soda along with eating healthier. So far no soda and fast food, eating healthier EXCEPT for last night I dipped into the DIP, well tbsp of Caramel dip with my granny smith apple.. I feel like I am doing well and will keep posting here to make sure I stay out of the dip ( I threw the last bits in the container away)

    I only walked 2 miles, my left thigh started to ache like crazy.

    My kids cooked on the grill, I would have really loved to eat a hot dog, a smoked sausage and a cheeseburger yesterday but I DIDN'T, yay me!!!

    Kallo rice puffs with semi skimmed milk and a glass of OJ followed by a mug of tea.

    Lunch:
    Gluten free pasta with bolognese sauce made with lean beef, onions, chopped tomatoes, mushrooms and herbs with a glass of chilled white wine on the side.

    Snack:
    Small bowl of cold rice with sweet chilli sauce.

    'Dinner':
    Derp, lots >< Small bowl of Ben & Jerry's Phish Food, half a venison burger (just the patty, no bread) and half a small Borewos (South African) sausage.

    And I'm STILL hungry.

    God. I've eaten LOADS today. Must behave tomorrow!

    I had a old Sportline and it recenlty broke. I bought another cheap Sportline at Walmart and its inaccurate also. I'm in a Ped checkin on another forum, and they recomend the Omron 115 or similar models. They are digital, so can be worn clipped to clothing or stuck in a pocket, and run about $25 on Amazon. Hope that helps.
