I hate when people are so negative about Valentine's. It's not all about romance and chocolates and flowers and surprising boyfriends/girlfriends or husbands/wives. It's about celebrating LOVE.

People take for granted relationships in their lives and don't give a second thought to them. But this is the one day of the year devoted to celebrating them! So what if you're single? Celebrate with girlfriends, parents, guy buddies, brothers/sisters, etc. And make sure they know how much you love and care for them and appreciate them!

I hate Valentine's Day too. Like I need a day to remind me that I'm still single. Fortunately, I was visitng my sister that day so I wasn't completely alone.

i really do not get into Valentines day as well but this year DH bought me a ring and that is first even though he let me pick it out i would have been more surprised if he did not let me pick it out. i pick out my engagment ring so that should say something. or he bought for me because he owed me . either way that is what i got this year. any way i will say that after this it is nice to get something but it is not necessary to go out of the way to do that. for us what makes it special is that we are together that is the most important part to us.
