Your a peach!

Chelle, You are so sweet! I think you are probably doing great. When I started I asked what to expect being hypo and they told me "it is hard to say. Each hypo person is different based on how underactive the thyroid is but, to probably expect to lose more slowly than others." If that ends up being the case for you but you have lots of steady weeks, maybe everything is all good!
I know what you mean about goals, like reunions, and wanting to make them. I wish I could say something to make that better but, I think you already have a good perspective, you are just wishing that what you'd hoped would happen had turned out as planned.
I am glad to hear you and your internist are more sensible about your health! I can't believe your gyno had such a lame comeback!
I too want to drop the water weight. If you figure it out, share please!

If I do, I promise to clue you in.
My biggest bad side effect on this plan is...... I am losing my hair. ALOT!! I always have had fine and thin hair. It is genetic from my dad and his mom but, it was bad because of the low thyroid too. NOW, it is worse for some reason. It is driving me nuts and I am trying to figure it out but, anything I come up with is going to take a few months to see results. According to Dr Tran Tien Chanh, it is a side effect that clears up when the diet is stopped. I just hope I don't end up the skinny bald girl!
From what I learned, it can be estrogenic hair loss caused by me burning fat that has excess estrogen and not having enough progesterone to match. OR it can be that I don't have enough of a vitamin or mineral like: vitamin c, zinc, copper, manganese, biotin, choline, inositol, b5 or b6, vitamin A or some other weird thing. I am now trying to supplement a few that I suspect based on several symptoms involved. It seems this is a common side effect for many of the low carb/higher protein type diets and all of them claim that the effect reverses when the diet stops.
I have been so desperate to lose the weight that I suppose the loss of hair temporarily (provided I don't go bald) is worth it!
I look forward to hearing your results in the upcoming week!
