Too funny...I had to Google self-immolation too!! I have to agree even though different life paths have brought us to this point. The past and our reactions to it are valid.
I challenge that you are "terrible" with commitment. You were married for 37 years and raised a family!!! The only thing you may have done is not put yourself first while caring for others. Now you're conquering that problem as well. All the best with quitting smoking!
