  • Hey everyone...
Just popping in to say hi! I just found out that I got APPROVED for my car loan!!!!!!! YAY! I am so excited!

I have been on track so far this week. Went to the gym last night and I am going again tonight for a quickie workout before class. Tomorrow I may end up waking up at 530am so I can workout before work, I have to pick up my loan stuff and get my apt ready for my couch and table that are coming on Sat. It's going to be a crazy weekend! I should get plenty of exercise helping my mom move on Sat (she lives upstairs). Anyway, I better get back to work...I am just so excited about the car loan approval. I had horrible credit, but really worked hard to clean it up. I guess it all paid off.

I hope everyone is having a really wonderful day!

  • Hi Everyone,
A big thank you to everyone for their support last week, I'm doing what I can to help my niece, but she is fond of telling me she is an adult and can make her own decisions. She was taken off work this week at her drs appointment and she is complaining about what will she do to keep from being bored. Her bf finally got a job, I think it will last until the state finds out he is working and starts taking back child support out of his check, that seems to be how he opperates. But I figure if I say nothing about him he will be gone soon, if I say anything against him she will hold on to him forever.

On the tee, I'll give her the diet, and hope she will fallow it, but she is a junk food junkie and diabetic she doesn't eat right anyway but does have her diabetes undeder contorl during the pregnancy.

Tara, I hope you daughter is feeling much better now. I hate it when my kids are sick, I'd rather be sick myself.

Armywife and Tara- You make me know how luck I am that my kids grandparents are close, my MIL lives right next to us and my kids have always spent more time there that at home.

Blueyedlvegirl- I am also a bookaholic. Once DH complained about me spending money at teh book store and I told him I needed to have one vice, did he want me to hang out at the bar, start smoking, or runaround with other men, His answer was for me to go back to the book store.

What have I been reading, I'm a speed reader so I go through a book in a day if I'm interested in it. I just finished Return to Summerhouse by jude Deveraux. It's the second book in what I hope is a series in which a person is given the chance to go back in time during their lifes for 3 weeks to make changes. When they come back they have the option of saving the changes in their life and remember what it was, save the changes a forget what had been, or go back to what their lifes were.
I've got a question of the day, If you could go back and change one thing in your life what would it be? I'm haveing a hard time coming up with an answer, but would like to go back to when I first started gaining weight in my middle teens and see about getting treated for my PCOS ( not that there was any treatments then) and start avoiding carbs and getting more exercise. That or I would have worked harder in college.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
  • Misty - congrats, what kind of car are you going to buy!?!
  • Misty - Congrats! That's exciting!

Mindy - What a beautiful dog!

Bette - Thinking of you and your niece!
  • Misty- Congratulations and what kind of car did you decide on?

Mindy- what a cute pic of you and puppy!!!

Bette - thinking of you and your family, it will all work out.

I am with you Manick enough slacking and summer is almost over so need to kick it back into high gear!!!

What could I change way back when??? Well I would also have to say that I would change when I got pregnant (19 years old) that I would have watched my weight gain then as it has haunted me ever since......Instead of only gaining 25-30 pounds I gained over a 100 pounds with each pregnancy (2).

So what does everyone have planned for Labor Day Weekend? Me well I am taking new motorcycle for a ride not to far about 120 miles one way so that will be good enough for one day with a new bike. Well I have to get off to work.
  • HAPPY FRIDAY AND IT'S A 3 DAY WEEKEND TO BOOT!!!

Well, I didn't make it to the gym yesterday after work or this morning (boo!) but I am going to be clearing out my living room tonight and moving my mom from her upstairs to a downstairs, so I should burn plenty of calories. My eating has been 100% OP and I have been walking at lunch everyday, so this shouldn't derail me too badly.

As for the car, I got a pearl white 2007 Hyundai Sonata. I am taking over the payments for someone and had to get a new loan in my name. The car is pretty much brand new (7500 miles). I absolutely adore it! I just got my license and now the car, I am on the fast track to sheer independence and FREEDOM! I go to pick up the check to pay off the car and the papers today after work (I will be paying back my credit union). YYYAAAAAAYYYY!

Bette: That is hilarious, I will have to tell my bf the same thing, I know he would much rather me spend money on books too.

QOTD: If I could go back and change one thing, it would be when I was in my early 20's and I was losing weight. Once I got to goal I let life get in way and gained it all back plus some. I did it for the wrong reasons (a boy) and when it didn't work out, I lost the motivation to keep it off. I would go back and continue my maintenance quest, if I could. OR maybe I would go back and continue my education much sooner. I stopped going to college b/c I didn't know what I wanted to do and it took me 8 years to get back. I could be done and in my career. I kick myself for that often. Oh well, I guess things happen for a reason. I have a pretty great life right now, even trying to juggle so many things. Instead of looking back and reliving mistakes we have made, maybe we should be appreciative of the life we are living now and make the most of it.

Thanks for the congrats everyone! Well, today is the last working day of the month, so I have a alot of work to do! Everyone have a wonderful 3 day weekend!

  • Hi gang!

Mindy - Taffy is so adorable - and I'm like you, a found treasure is always fun. We're getting ready to paint these 2 adirondak chairs that were in a dumpster. They needed some major repair, but now they're ready for paint and putting out in the garden. Fun.

Chrissie - No, I hadn't set a Halloween goal, but one for the beginning of this next challenge, from 215 to 210, which is working out pretty well, this morning I was 211.6. Congratulations and Happy Birthday for reaching your 15# birthday goal!!!

Purple - good luck getting to Onderland for the ghost train ride. Keep moving!!!

Kelly - I know you're relieved to be back where you were at the end of last challenge. If anyone can reach that 195, it's you!

Jennifer - I want to be you! 150# woo hoo!!!

Misty - Congrats on your car, but even more congrats on your consistent exercise!

Bette - I agree with your assessment to say nothing about the bf, whatever you say don't - she'll do. And as to your QOTD - what would I go back and change? I'd wait for my current husband, and not marry the first. I'd never started shaving my legs. I'd never had taken drugs in the '70's, I'd taken better care of my teeth. The list goes on . . . On the positive side though, the Lord has taken excellent care of me through it all.

Well that's it for me, still doing WATP 4 mile daily, weights and abs about every other day and elliptical evenings about 3 times a week. Still testing the coconut oil (I have lost another pound since starting it - but I also worked very hard in the yard yesterday.) Still on 5 small meals a day and a lot of them are coming from the garden - I have a ton of spaghetti squash, one of my faves.

Take care all - can't wait to get started on this challenge!

  • mindy, adoreable dog! love that face. yea i may check out the library this weekend since i'll have mom to help wrangle kids lol

misty, congrats on the new car! how exciting!! good luck with school. i was in college for 3 years (and only lack a 12hr internship to have a degree) for Landscape Design...but i was scared of doing an internship....but now am going back to school for accounting/biz admin in hopes to have a degree that's universal in all states (not so in landscape biz) and make better money...with this economy, we could use all the extra money we can get...but by the time i finish this degree, i should have both kids in school so i could work at least part time 9am-2pm while they're in school and not have to pay the childcare perks perks

good luck everyone! almost time to start the challenge!!!!
