Quote: How does Muscle Milk Light compare as a substitute for a prepared shake? Nutritionally, it looks pretty even, but I guess I'm a little superstitious. Has anyone used it with success?

Just checked the nutrition information. (Gah, their site is a horror in Firefox!) It looks similar to the Premier Nutrition products available from Costco, lower protein (20g) higher carb (10 g). I think it would be okay to have once a day, and *occasionally* twice a day. Like many body building products, it has vitamins and minerals added. If you're following IP supplementation, more than 1/day might start to cause problems with mineral and vitamin levels in your body.

I haven't had it so I can't comment on its taste, texture, and general palatability.

as far as drinkability, i like it. thicker than EAS advantage, comparable to premier protein. sweeter than eas advantage. has a handy little straw. i think i like the premier best, but the serving size it larger so for a one shot deal, the muscle milk light is probably closer to program due to less calories?????

The program is the bomb!!! Has Lindora, nutridiet and ideal protein counts for most of the food that people buy. And I have the Droid also. I am going to hold off on updating until the Motorola bionic comes and the reviews are in.
  • Quote: Hi 45,

I only buy one box per month from my coach , and she is ok with that. However, I have the BEST COACH EVER, and can't say the same for others, unfortunately. My coach knows how costly it is, knows money is tight for me, knows I struggle with the expense, and is very understanding. She lets me buy the bare minimum, and I can still come in for weights and measurements and advise.

This topic has been discussed in this thread off and on, so I would recommend going back through it to get other perspectives on the issue. I have read that you may be dropped from the program, depending on the coach, or that some understand and don't mind, like mine. Don't worry, if you read and educate yourself enough, this program is doable even without a coach.
I use the Costco RTD shakes (Premier Protein) - I have one of these a day because of the higher carb and protein count. I also buy from Nashua - I'm a creature of habit - I love a shake for breakie, omelet for lunch, lean protein and veggie for supper, and a hot chocolate or a bar for bed time snack. I ordered some choc. soy puffs and some jello for variety and LOVE all the Nashua stuff I have ordered!

My IP coach dumped me when I couldn't afford IP exclusively anymore - they don't allow combining products here - it's all or none....so I'm doing it on my own with success!!! The hardest part is staying on program, but I have a close friend who is doing it with me. We order together from Nashua and split the expenses of duty and shipping...and our order comes in less than 10 days (Canada). So far so good!

Hey mompattie. I'm glad you are enjoying success with Nashua. I've been meaning to transition; so glad I read your post. My only concern is a comment a friend made comparing IP products with Nashua's. Apparently, it is missing some of the stuff that are incorporated with IP's, like protein isolates? I haven't really made an effort to compare the ingredients (supplement wise), although I have compared the nutritional facts and Nashua scored pretty well

Please let us know if you find anything out.
  • Lindora help
Has anyone tried adding the lindora products to the ip plan AND noticed any negative effects like lack of weight loss or stalling? I've compared the ingredients lists of both boxes (both ip and lindora) and the ingredients are the same. In some cases the food is identical! I think the company that makes the bars for ideal protein also makes the bars for lindora. The packaging is the same. This lindora product has aspartame but that ip product has aspartame. I've been a slow looser and I don't want to make it worse by introducing something that will slow me down even more or stop me altogether. I've only lost 10 lbs in the last 7 weeks but lost 7 inches. I've been doing ip for 6 months and I just need some variety! Am I making a mistake?

  • Southwest Cheese Curls
I love the Ideal Protein Southwest Cheese Curls and am wondering if anyone has found something very similar through the other sites that have been mentioned?
  • I have not found them from any alternative sites....but I did find them at bayonne health n wellness. com (don't tell anyone but they sell IP online!) So I can get those items I want that there are no alternatives for!

I just got an order for the vanilla and cinnamon bars from Nashua. I saved some from Lindora and they are exactly the same bars that IP sells. Same packaging. One thing to remember about Nashua they have free FedX shipping and Lindora does not.

Have not tried Lindora, mainly because I compared it with Nashua (ProtiDiet) and found Nashua products better carb count and better priced. Plus, if you order $99 or more, shipping is free and they send you free samples.

I really like the Nashua products. I do apologize if I didn't talk much about Lindora, but you might find Nashua pleasantly surprising, and surprisingly better

They have a ton of options on the left column as well.

    Hope this helps.
  • I noticed some of the Protidiet soups have MSG. That's a huge issue for me as I have problems with MSG. definitely pays tonread the ingredients.

    Christine,

You're right. This program is great. I downloaded it yesterday and can access it from my laptop and my iphone. Thanks.
