Shaquille O'Neal (spelling?) was in house. Threw out the first pitch. He is filming a reality show. He will take on sport stars at their sport. On Thursday he will go up against Pujols in a home run derby type format. Before the game he was with the players. He looked like a giant out there.

You NATION folks take this game seriously...100 years of nutin' then a few World Series under your belt and you're a changed species!

9-1 DODGERS in the 7th...safe to go to bed now...(I HOPE!...it's the giants)

SweetCaroline, we could donate our pitcher from last night. He didn't last too long. I felt sorry for him. He's just a kid and is new and all. He looked like he was scared to death. Oh... and he pitched like that, too. Hopefully we'll do better tonight.

BILL ??? - alright already, I left during the "pause for the rainstorm to pass" at 10pm at the end of the 6th with Boston ahead 6-3...

I agree, cool game to be at BILL ... all that action... I thought I saw you pulling Youk off that pitcher... good job ! I've never been there during a brawl... couple of times when teams were 'warned'... usually Tampa..

Jerry Remy was at the park tonight... he is doing well physically, but has suffered horribly with depression, going to the park tonight was in words "therapuetic"... and he will be back this season...

So Angie and I are watching Monk last night on TBS, a commercial comes on so I look back down at the newspaper...I hear a shreik...there's Nicole! My daughter in law was on a commercial for Direct TV with Peyton Manning and a lot of cheerleaders. If you see it look about 1/2 way in...Peyton is by himself and says something about "you don't dvr it" or something like that...as soon as he finishes talking Charger girls go by the camera...my dil is the second one...pretty brunette, a nice face shot. Way cool!

Yep, good spotting again. Gotta tell ya though, there's a lot of Youk to be pulled off, LOL.

Just finished watching (from my couch) us win the third straight against Detroit. Now that's a good feeling.

Thought of you Red Sox fans this morning. The TV at the gym was showing that movie with Drew Barrymore where her boyfriend loves her so much that he was willing to sell his season tickets. I can't remember the name of the movie. Sorry, but that is certainly FICTION! Who would sell baseball tickets just because they are in love? Whatever...

I hear footsteps

No SWEET-C we did not know the commercial was going to be on. My daughter in law has said that they do "commercial" shots from time to time...some pan out some don't. She did some when she was a USC cheerleader and every now and then gets a check for them being televised somewhere. Also, we saw it on USA on the MONK repeat of this season's first show...not TBS.

We lost today... but took 3 out of 4 from Detroit...
Now on to Texas.... nothing like Texas in August.. lol

Our next 10 games are against 2 NL West teams. We have 7 against the Padres and 3 against those Dodgers.

First things first we have to beat the Padres here. The weather will be perfect for baseball.

We're going to Florida now to play the Marlins. I'm not sure how that will be. Hopefully, we'll have some more wins.
