Not doing much today. I might go for a bike ride later this morning. I'll have to check the city websites to see which areas are not going to be overrun with tourists.
Mel~ Good work in getting rid of some clutter. It is hard to get rid of things that were given as gifts. Sorry to hear of the return of the Rosacea. Ok, so if the coffee makes it worse, what does that mean about coffee? I know it's hard when something we love isn't good for us. But really is it worth that? Of course this is only something you can decide. Sometimes the answer is yes, isn't it?
It always amazes me that people start moving into buildings that are still under construction. Shouldn't they be worried about just the kind of situation you describe? BTW, the building across the street is almost all gone. Thanks for the 4-wheeler offer! Don't tempt me.Holly~ Coffee on the porch and peace and quiet sounds like a lovely way to start the day. Sorry about DH and the interview. Don't let him get discouraged. being turned down for a job is never personal. It just means he isn't what they were looking for. I know what it is like to live with someone who has issues with asking for what he is worth. Good luck with it. I too think you should apply for the job. It doesn't hurt to apply. It is hard to always have to be the driving force, isn't it? But someone has to do it. We are raised and society tells us that we'll find someone to look after us – quite the eye opening when we get to the realization that we are our own Prince Charmings, eh?
Sorry little break as Maggie came looking for love. Maggie is the cat in my avatar. She's sweet but very persistent.
Shad~ Good luck on the tax thingie. I have to do some bill sorting and such too. If I wait until year-end it is going to be a big mess. have you firmed up any more travel plans? What are the latest thoughts? I'm always astounded by the logicistics you are able to manage with the moves and relocations. Good luck you your DS on his move. How exciting. I hope you can manage to stay connected when you are out in the "wilds". Hey maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised? Have fun at the gym and do a couple of K for us, will you? Funny, but your description of the information gathering you have to do in this job reminds me of many places I have worked. It's not the info isn't there, it's just knowing who to ask (especially when you are new) is the hard part. More companies need some sot of brain dump policy where everything gets documented and then that information gets managed. The dumping in fairly easy (that's where my sort some in) but it's the managing that is a big issue for most places. It's rare anyone gets that right. And of course, some people don't want to tell you what they know out of fear that once the info is common knowledge their leverage on their jobs is gone. You aren't alone. Hang in there. As you said, it will get to be fun eventually.
Happy ~ Good article and that you for posting it. Gosh, it sounds simple, doesn't it?
You know, Gabby Reece was one of my heroes back in the 80s. When all women were stick figures, there was Gabby 6 foot tall, muscular and curvy and beautiful. She made weight lifting acceptable to a lot of women. Personally I struggle most with the stress thing, but I'm working on it. Good for you in the measuring weighing thing, which you don't have to post. And yes, we will get through this, one pound at a time. Oh and gesundheit.Ceejay~ Have a fun trip.
Meadow~ Love the dancing chick!

It's amazing to me to just pick up the phone and dial half way around the world and it sounds like you are across the street. Did you get that lawm mowed after all?
Have to find you a decent substitute.
Kinda like having your "pills" and "drinking" it too???
moped: So don't be shy!
Sorry the dinner wasn't 100% ......I do so love when I see your use of "DH"
He said even I might be able to afford one now
getting back to basics seems to be what we are all doing this month. good luck too. Missed you.
at Mel, I see you there glowing!
Enjoy them and wear them in good health my friend. On the Starbuck's thing it is the caffeine. I am caffeine sensitive but as it was the only caffeine intake, I thought I could get away with it

Drinking the water and stopping the salt is getting the water retention back under control. So today I am a happy camper!
