This morning was my "official" weigh in - huzzah. I was .6 down from the lowest I'd seen in recent years and that "lowest" was never on an "official" day. I know as soon as I eat a meal out, I will go up a few pounds (salt) but it was still gratifying to see (finally) a newish low. The last time I was any lower was two years ago and for the most brief of moments. It is of course my goal to get below the two year ago number but for now I'm just thrilled to see (however briefly) today's number. Still have three weeks to lose the two additional pounds for my goal and while that's doable for some, I'm really going to have to go for just 'as close as I can get'. Still my goal though and maybe I'll be able to tighten up a bit more to get a bit closer.

massage yesterday was divine. monster heat still prevails. we did finally get some much needed rain last night, but didn't do much to cool things down. thunder woke me up in middle of night, and knew i wasn't getting back to sleep anytime soon, so i watched an old movie instead. hopefully tonight will be a good night to catch up on some sleep, finally. op today. back to my old tried and true smaller, healthier portions game plan. well, take care, all.

Gray, gloomy but hotter this a.m. and heat to return with a vengeance today and the next few. Ugh!

Bad girl moi stayed up way too late but was seized with a happy frame of mind. Woke up this morning still in that euphoric state. Am having a ball here all by myself!

Visit from in-laws (bil/sis) was nice but was not a contributing factor to great mood. Whatever it is, I'll take it - it's been a long time.

Debating between tai chi and pool today since said visit kept me from pool yesterday. Tai chi instructor getting married and will miss all of September. There'll be a sub for one class but the other class will be stopped for the month. I don't think I'll want to go with the sub though she seems nice. I do have a tape which I don't usually remember to use. But today the pool just might fit my mood and schedule better.

Some of these girls are so itchy...it drives me nuts listening to them scratch! I just gave some benedryl to one...and I've flea dusted carpets. And vaccuumed. And changed the bag and vaccuumed dust into it too...little buggers will live in there....but after all this I still haven't found one! Just really suspicious.....

No wonder I'm nuts.

Hello all!


Finally back in town and able to let a hand go from the roller coaster.....
Learned lots of great things at the conference, loved Minneapolis, ( not so much when it started raining), and realized, yes, it can be LESS work and stress if you just stay home.

Eating was mostly just awful. I had an intense sugar hangover for almost 3 full days combined with jet lag.

But, now, its been long enough that the "normal' schedule has me feeling more chipper and rested.


Hope all is well, I am behind on posts.

I did catch one phrase I did like "Loyal Royals"..... lots of good things in that phrase.

Welcome home, Kaylets! Yes, while we need the "excitement" of change, there's a lot that's comforting in our regular routines. Missed you.

Had my "excitement" again in P-ville this weekend. And exciting it was - 25 plus kiddies on a 20 foot water slide in the backyard - fortunately I was on "inside" duty as the Heat Index outside was 107. Phew but didn't stop the kidlets. I did some first aid and tender wiping of bruises and mud and not much of that. Mostly directing kiddies to bathroom. But certainly not my "normal".

So this morning the princesses return to school. That meant I left way early yesterday and got things going well on my "normal". This morning is still cool and I enjoyed the patio despite any price I'll pay later with the allergies.

It's Fresh Start Monday and I'm READY. Not tackling anything big but have a long list of "littles". Joy persists - yes, Wood Nymph, it is a result of many months of "working it out". One little workout after another. And a result, too, of thinking out the upcoming birthday and being determined to make the next decade the best it can be. So still lots of "working out" to do. Also at a stage where many small niggling bits of paperwork are done. Always more, of course, but some bothersome ones off the agenda for now.

Am heading up tomorrow to do some caretaking with BIL - may need to go twice this week. Can't do that all the time but can this week if necessary, so will.

Sun shining on carpet near computer shows I need to add vacuuming to list of "littles". Didn't I just do that sometime?

So it's MONDAY and I'm up and off but like a turtle so I can enjoy the sort-of lack of stress today.

QOD - once a week or so - I note the "or so" is more often since I no longer share a bed. But I just love "clean sheet night" so if I had someone to do it for me it would be more frequent.

Forgot to respond to your query re new thread. I'm ready whenever to start thinking of the journey of Returning to the Main Palace for the Fall Festivities.

A touch of Fall in air this morning as I did my runarounds. I've been anxious to put a fall wreath on door too. Sick of summer clothes, old Fall stuff strting to look good to me. Don't want to rush it though.

I'm glad you're working to goal. Also glad I saw good number last week. This a.m. I weighed in - knew I should not. Wow - five pounds on again over the good number. I know it's from eating over the weekend and is not five pounds of fat so I'm ok with it. Just knew I should not have stepped on scale. Didn't ruin my good mood though. (I should have added to the list of resons that I'm still on prednisone so not hurting. That's always a big part.)

So, a bite of lunch and then I'm off on this afternoon's "runarounds" which shall include my tai chi class.
