  • Mine is self explanitory, mom 2 cole. I need to add mom2coleNCaleb but I just don't want to change everything. takes to long.
  • I play an online game and moderate an online message board. Glory is a derivation of the name I use in that game. Glory was taken, so I tacked on 87 in a last minute "ugh, need a name" moment. It's the year I graduated high school.
  • I first went online in 1997. Sitting there, my first time on the web, trying to decide on a name for myself, and living in Wild Wonderful West Virginia, I debated between AlmostHell and AlmostHeaven (WV). I figured some boards might have filters and I'd have a problem with AlmostHell at some point. Hehe

So...I wasn't very imaginative. But more like I was just impatient to start talking to people and needed a handle fast. And...I don't like change. So it stuck.
  • Mine is 3 of the Marx brothers. Harpo, Chico, and Groucho. I also have a dog named Chico and a cat named Harpo. The next boy animal I get will be named Groucho to complete the 3 brothers. And then I'll name the next one Zeppo since some people have called me out on leaving him out, but he couldn't fit!!! And he left the troupe anyway!! But I do like him!!! And Gummo too. Everyone forgets about Gummo, even I do.

Oh, I guess I should tell you who the Marx brothers are!!! They were a GENIUS comedy troupe in the 30's/40's and made a string of very funny movies and later Groucho hosted 'You bet your life' and he did radio and he was really famous for his one-liners. My favorite movie is Monkey Business, although their most famous is Duck Soup. If you are looking for a solidly funny movie, rent a Marx brothers movie. The humor is smart and witty and silly and NOT vulgar or crass, like so many of the comedies now.
  • My name is Lindsay, and i was born in 1981.... lol how original!!
  • I was asking input from a few friends for my new cybername when I got tired of my old one, which was dance4joy (and meant dance for joy to the Lord) -- and I LOVE the cool, misty rain here in the PNW. So people started saying I should be "Misti" -- so I became Misti in Seattle. My name is actually "Sue."
  • Healthyme05...
I joined 3FC in 05 and I started my weight loss journey in 2005 as well...
The healthyme part is because I want to remind myself it's not just about numbers on the scales or on my clothes...it's a lifestyle change. I want to be healthy in all areas of my life.
I know that eating right and exercising will definately keep me on the healthy track!
  • Mine is just the first three letters in both my names.I thought I was quite clever for dreaming this up ....until........I was on a message board and a couple of people were wondering what bargoo means, one said,
Been to a lot of bars
    the other one says,
    Seen a lot of goo

I didn't say anything but I was kind of deflated!
  • Mine is from a poem by Emily Dickinson. What do you want? I was a Lit major in college and I like to recite poetry when drunk. At one point, I could recite the entire Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock from memory, including the translated latin quote at the beginning. I can still recite Jaberwocky from memory.

I've always had an affinity for Emily Dickinson. I like the way she uses words and I also think she was a fascinating individual. I picked "blue to blue" because I've always liked this poem and I particularly like the way that phrase sounds. Plus I like the color blue.

    Anyway, here's the poem...

The brain is wider than the sky,
For, put them side by side,
The one the other will include
    With ease and you beside.

The brain is deeper than the sea,
For, hold them blue to blue,
The one the other will absorb,
    As sponges, buckets do.

The brain is just the weight of God,
For, lift them, pound for pound,
And they will differ, if they do,
    As syllable from sound.

  • I was frustated that I wasn't losing any weight - but frustrated was taken
  • Quote: Phantastica--you came across this word but do you remember what it means?
It's a name of a mind-altering plant. ha ha. I just like it because it was positive, upbeat, and sometimes sexy. Kind of what I aspire to be!
  • My name is Angie and I live in Maine. I post on a dog board and there was another Angie there so I added the ME after my name so everyone could tell us apart so when I found this websight I just used the same name.
  • My name, rhymes with "hateful", and wasn't already taken.
  • AngieME, meet JuliaTN...
  • I love OLD cemetaries and the statues and artwork that they contain. I love going there to photograph and they are SO peaceful.
The siren part is because I LOVE to sing and I have a fantastic voice that I'm very proud of. Wanted it to be unique, so I figured that I wanted to slay men with my beauty when I was finished losing weight, so I picked "siren" from greek mythology! LOL I definately break hearts now!
