  • Well Hello on this lovely Sunday Night to all you wonderful ladies.

Today was a decent food day. I'm sure my calories are higher than they should be....but I think I am covered due to the 3 hour supermarket spree. Every Sunday....its ritual!!! LOL

Made the most wonderful chicken soup for dinner tonight. Got the recipe from Food Network (my true passion) I so was to be a chef....
But alas, the F-I-L was watching 30-Minute Meals with Rachel Ray on Friday night and she made "Quick Chick and Noodle Soup."

So good, grabbed the recipe off the website and cooked it up. It wasn't a true 30 min. meal for me, but then I am not yet a professional so....but if you love chicken soup as we do in this house give it a shot...I guess to make it lighter you could recuce the pasta and incorporate more veggies. I just needed the comfort with being sick.

Anyway....just wanted to check in and say I can't wait to join the 2 x 2 Challenge.

Strive for the moon ladies, nothing can stand in our way!!!
  • Mary – Hi there… I too have had the same experience. Cept I ignored it for a long time then I started requested tables only… can definitely relate! WELCOME to the GROUP! *big hugz*

2cute – share some of that “high” with me! Heheheh

Lilion – I got your PM… well it definitely gives you a goal to work towards hehehhe… I would have done the same, except I started at 378 and it would have been a while for me to get to use the scale that only goes up to 300… which btw is now dead… not sure what is up with it… went haywire.

Synn – yes I was thinking of something like that as well.. defiantly let me know what you think of your new item! I may just do that as well… might be cheaper than way. Thanks!

Iwillbe – I am with you! I want some of 2cutes “high” heheh

Determined - thanks for that info on the WW scale… I just started looking at those earlier today…among those I saw the Tanitas, or whatever the name was hehhehe…

Scooter – yeah I saw some of those too… body fat WITH body water count… I not sure how it works, but it sounds interesting LOL. I’d be curious to know if anyone else does… I heard it was some sort of waves or ultra sound or something

Hey guys… I had another crazy idea… I was looking at tv and I saw an ad for bo-flex… I thinking about getting one… and this comes from the cheapest person in the world. LOL I thinking about getting one, but then again it could just be a phase… James has talked about it… and I heard some good stuff about it… but who knows…

I had a REALLY busy day today… been up since 6 and for some reason, at 8:30 tonight it felt like it was midnight… I’m gonna get going… see if I can get to bed early. I am going with my aunt to her Dentist appointment and I am hoping the dentist will take a look at me and give me an estimate on how much it will cost to fix a tooth that cracked in half I don’t have any medical so this is gonna hurt! In more ways than one…

    Catch you all later!

  • I'm new, and I hope I do this right. I started at just under 600 lbs. a little over 3 years ago. I ended up in the hospital with a high blood pressure induced angina attack. Fear and shame are great motivators. I knew I would have to make changes that I could do for a life time, and have been making small changes one at a time. For the first year all I did was give up on take out, and try to learn to cook a little "cleaner." Last July I started to add in exercise. In the begining I just did exercises that I could do laying in bed like sit-ups and scissor kicks. 2 months ago I started walking. I started by just walking across the street. I slowly increased until I could walk a mile with out stopping. I had used a very large wheelchair for 8 years, and am astounded by being able to walk again. I'm at a point where the weight is coming off much slower than it did at first, and I am trying not to get disappointed. I have done this pretty much on my own so far, and figured that I could use some support. That's why I am here. I know that the rate of long-term success for someone near 600lbs., without having the surgery, is small, but I am committed and willing to do whatever it takes. I hope I can get to know some people who are walking the same path. Catherine
