Whoa!!! I'm away for a little while and I come back to this!!!! It's a new season! It's a new start! I love the fall even better than the first of the year for resolutions. Remember being a kid and everything seeming to start brand new on the first day of school??? Peaches, I like your zen approach. Very new age.

I went to lunch w/ my sis today. It made me feel like my life is a breeze. She is a recovering alcoholic. She is out of work. Her unemployment compensation ran out 2 weeks ago. Her house is for sale, but no buyers yet and she doesn't know where she is going when it does sell. ---- and yet, she is positive and happy and full of energy. Not always, but for the most part she is. She says she has to exercise every day to keep herself up. I think I could learn some lessons from her.

hmmmmmmmmmm--better tell dh to watch it there Kiwonk,--i once had a husband who left with parting remarks of that nature {note:---i once HAD ..................}not that dh meant anything by that!!!!----new dh {well not that new almost 11 years married now--never makes any untoward remarks about my 'productivity'---i head him off at the pass!!!!!---i am getting tired of having no "job"---not a minimum wage job that i may hate {like supply teaching} but a PASSSSSSSSSS--ION job that oprah twits are always blathering about--- i did get an order for my christmas cards BUT i am having the worst time getting them printed for LESS than the wholesale price the buyer wants to pay---for instance,she wants to retail the cards at 3 dollars and pay 1.48 wholesale---so far the printer wants 1.50 per card!!! that's without an envelope and the packing bag {at least another 25 cents} right now i am searching all over the internet for cheap but sturdy RED envelopes--i found some in the states but the duty,exchange and shipping make them toooo expensive!!! WHine WHine WHine---no matter what the issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's me in a nutshell----------anyway--back to searching CANADIAN sites!!! i can't afford to shop american!!![COLOR=Blue]

That d*mn Oprah, always going around trying to make us live up to our potentials!! It's easier to do when you don't have to do your own laundry, cook your own food, clean your own house, and cater to a husband and kids!!!! Just exactly how much time is left to develop our passion!!!???? My passion is gardening and I have a mess of a yard. I would love to work there every day, but I hardly ever do. DH started his frickin' frackin' gas powered edgetrimmer up yesterday and started whacking on my plants. I really, really hate it when he does that. When DS asked if he wanted help, DH said "no, I'm waiting for your mother to go to Costco so I can carve the bejezus out of this place. See? that's the problem - I had to go to Costco to get HIM food. Then he has the nerve to criticize my jungle. And the thing that really ticked me off is that it did look better when I came back. He can do 10 x's the work I can do in 1/10th the time.OK enough of my rant.

Bagzie, you've got to direct market stuff. You are an artist, not a factory, so you have to be compensated. Are there any artist's guilds where you live? Sometimes they have good ideas on how to get your stuff out there and make some money too. Why should the retailer make all the money on your art? My good friend who is a wonderful artist has an in house holiday show of her work every October. She sells her handmade cards, her handpainted ornaments, and all kinds of really cool things she paints or makes. That way she keeps all the profit. She has hot cider and cookies and it's really a nice way to shop for Christmas.

Kiwi - Ouch. That hurt. Productive???? Did he have clean shorts this morning? A dry towel? Coffee in the house? Of course we know these things are provided by the house elves that come in the night.

Apparently so. And apparently when I decide I don't want to be quite so "productive", they will continue to feed him and do his laundry, so maybe I'll just take a vacation.

Grumble.

I don't suppose those envelopes are something available in stores for so much cheaper, that it would be worthwhile for one of us to pick some up and send them to you, Bagz? I know you have to declare what's in packages that go over the border, but if we wrapped them up, we could call them "gifts".

Being visited by evil cramps today, but anything's better than PMS. AND last night I walked 3 miles with Leslie Sansone. I am a SuperFatBurner. She's a bit perky but the tape was OK and I survived. May do this again today if I can stay awake long enough. Made me feel waaaaaaaaay better.

BTW, did y'all here that Cherry's sweet little kitty Bob passed on a couple of days ago? Big hugs for Cherry.

Sugar, Leslie Sansone is one of my more tolerated of the work out women. She seems a little more real than the Firm bunch. I occasionally (very occasionally) do the 2 mile walk with her. I see now she has a pilates tape out. You are not boring. You're just a sweet young thang who jet sets all over the world.

Hope the pasture is pleasant for the near future. Am heading to the Windy city with DH for a little R&R. Dangerous territory since it is the home of Pizzaria Uno... I hope we'll walk enough that I can afford at least one piece!! Lots of water... and maybe a stash of v8 and "free" yogurt in the hotel fridge. None of that fatening mini-bar stuff!!

Sugar, my Dr. gave me birth control pills to control all that. It works. I can now leave my house the first 2 days of the big P. I know they're nasty hormones and bad stuff, but good lord, I am sooo much more comfortable.

The muffin page is way cute but where is Muffie?? And who is inviting me to their house when the hurricane comes? I have a headache. This is my last Thursday off ever. Forever. To eternity. I learned soemthing I didn't understand before. At the end, 144,000 of the best people go to heaven but the rest get to stay on earth. Just thought I'd bring that up again. Stock oup on sponges. And food for when the power goes off. And water. And cat food.

we don't got no hurricanes up here,just blizzards---------nova scotia got hurricane Juan last fall and that was a mess,but usually they loooose their power by the time they blow all the way up here-----------what i really want is to loose some weight------------i think i will have to start counting points again---that worked last fall for a while

Boy, your tears resonated all the way to NJ. Where was I? I was putting a new hard drive into my computer because my darlings downloaded gunk that ruined the old one. It was fairly easy.

Has Peaches ever told anyone what her new job is? I haven't checked my email yet and I plan to delete everything anyway, figuring that anyone who wanted me for anything but to bombard me with religious tracts(thank you cousin) would call me.

I hate the Republicans and can't understand why anyone doesn't. They have dominated tv all week and are ruining our last week of summer because we wanted to go to NYC but can't because they are up there throwing their weight around, closing streets...typical dick cheney stuff. Worse yet,they want my boys as cannon fodder. I think we will have to go to South America. Bagzie has not invited us to Cananada.

I feel that the rest of the world should see that there's been a coup(see election 2000) and that we need liberating. We've bought vaccines for just about everyone...don't you think they could help us out now that they don't have polio?
