Good morning to you all. It was 89 degrees at 11 PM last night so it is going to be hot, hot today again. They are predicting 105-108 heat index.
Well the idiots downtown gave the city employees a pay raise, but it was 1-2% which only amounts to about $20-25 before taxes. People here don't want taxes raised yet they scream and holler about raises. We make perfectly good money and if they aren't going to give pay raises that at least make a difference then why waste the money? I mean it won't even give an employee a tank of gas. We need more police and they think the solution is a pay raise, but that amount isn't going to do it and my opinion is officers don't want to come here because the chances of them getting shot is pretty high. They say we can't afford to hire more police and fire and they dumped a bunch just a few years ago so who knows? It is a never ending circle. Jack and I are just thankful for what we already get.
I was going to go get my nails done today, but my shoulders were aching so much last night they kept me awake on and off so I decided to wait until tomorrow. I think it was moving around suitcases and such that did it yesterday. Stinks to get old.

Jean: No, I don't wear jewelry in the house as I am always having to take it off to clean or whatever. I don't even wear my rings. The new one Jack bought me says not to wear it in water and such as the rose gold tarnishes more than regular gold. Who knows why so I just leave them off when I am in the house. I will have to check out utube about the corn. I like to watch Jimmy Fallon on utube. It is too late for me to stay up and watch him, so I watch some of his stuff on utube. I saw one yesterday where Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn played a game called True Detectives and it was pretty funny. He does some funny stuff with his guests.

I like Jimmy Fallon too but don't usually stay up to watch him unless there is a guest I really want to see. Hope your shoulders feel better by now. Bob said his was bothering him last. Blame it on the weather!
