  • Count me in, gonna try to do it 4-12.
  • I'm in, too! Tomorrow.
  • Count me in, too.
  • My 45-minute run today was dedicated to him. May he rest in peace.
  • Yesterday I ran for 51 minutes in Gary's honor. RIP my dear friend.
  • Done! And my best time since restarting running for spring. 42:36!

I didn't know Gary well, but I always enjoyed reading his posts.
  • I had a long run planned for today, 10k, so I guess I did 2 5ks in Gary's memory. It's a beautiful day here in GA, and I prayed for Gary's family and loved ones as I ran - may they know and feel the peace that comes with being sure that Gary is with the Lord he loved so much.
  • My dog and I just did our walking slightly >5K in Gary's memory. We walked just over 11,000 steps according to my pedometer. We smiled and waved to people we passed, and stopped to say hi to some friends. Not that I'm usually a grouch on our walks, but thinking of Gary made me extra-conscious of being kind to those around me, because he was always so kind. RIP Ez, we will miss you but I know you're in a happy place.
  • I did my 5K this morning. I walked it and it took 1 hour 3 minutes.

Thanks Gary for getting me moving.
  • Ran my first 5K today! Kicking myself for not timing it.
  • I didn't know Gary, but certainly felt his presence on these boards. My husband and I ran our very first 5k ever today in his memory. 38:35

RIP Gary. Thank you for getting so many people moving!
  • Finished my 5K tonight in about 54 minutes or so. Good job to everyone that has completed this so far. Awesome work.
  • Did the Warrior Dash yesterday in Gary's honor. I don't know my time, but I ran the whole thing, did all the obstacles and got muddy, and it was 90 degrees out. Kicked my butt. RIP Gary!

  • This morning, I ran on a path that I used to love, but rarely run on now, as I'm usually indoors and in classes at the gym. I did this in Gary's honor, and really hoped I'd cross someone walking a golden retriever. I went 4.25 in just about 40 minutes and I thought of Gary along the way. How even when he was ill, he checked in just after Hurricane Sandy to see how **I** was doing. Gary's post were inimitable. Full of emoticons, written in that humorous voice, offering practical wisdom and good advice on getting by in life, and above all, his testimony to his faith. I do not share his faith but I honor it. He was a good, good man.
  • Ran my longest run ever today - 15 miles. Miles 3-8 were with the MP3 player off listening to the sound of my breath and thinking about Gary.
