It's a protein-sparing modified fast (PSMF) so it's very low calorie and mostly protein. It's not necessarily the
healthiest but it's effective and there are enough breaks that I don't think it's harmful. I eat very lean proteins (b/s chicken breast, lean fish, ff yogurt, ff cheese) up to a specific number of protein grams per day, based on weight and activity level and stuff - for me it's 110g. I also eat as many non-starchy veggies as I want, plus some specific supplements like fish oil. Then there are "free meals" and carb refeeds (frequency varies, I get one of each per week), and every few weeks I'll take an entire week off of the diet where I'll eat at maintenance levels.
There's a book (called "Rapid Fat Loss"), and you can get it as an e-book, which I cannot ethically encourage you to download illegally but that's certainly something a person could do.
