Good morning all,
First post in the December thread. Seems like a supportive bunch...looking forward to joining in!
I introduced myself last week in the 'Getting to Know each other' section that Monique started.
Monique...I am indeed living in Ottawa...am a big knitter too. I noticed in your post that you said that you wanted to learn to knit. There is a really great book by Debbie Bliss (I think called Learning to Knit) that would be great to learn from. I have found that knitting has helped me to stop boredom eating while I watch TV. Can't be feeding myself when my hands are busy knitting!
Anybody else going to be staying with family over the holidays? I will be staying with family for 10 days! I am somewhat concerned about loosing control over what I will be eating...especially when the diversions are bound to be so tempting (my mother is an AMAZING cook)! Anybody have any coping suggestions to stay on track?
I have decided that I will make a couple of dinners that are healthy while I am visiting. I was thinking that I could do so under the guise of being helpful and considerate.

Perhaps I will make tons & tons, so that I can eat healthy leftovers.
HoHoHo,
Kris
