NorthernExposure-My fallback costume is always a cat. I can wear black pants and shirt of any size and I have the ears and a tail and I can do the makeup easily. I have a few other 'witch-like' dresses too that haven't fit the last few years but I'm sure they will this year. But basically I just always go kinda goth for the day. lol If you want a cheap costume but lots of options buycostumes.com has a ton for a good price (20 dollar range). That's where I wanted to get my star trek uniform. My hubby is having his custom made. lol I would just get something but since I'm probably not going anywhere I don't want to spend money.

DaisyDuke- your party sounds fun but there aren't a ton of characters in that movie. There will be a dozen Beetlejuices. lol

Meanwhile I was up a pound this morning. No idea why I did pretty good yesterday. Blah. Hopefully it will go away before weigh in day. lol

~Yesterday my workout was chest & Back heavy weights then a some high intensity step aerobics.

~This morning I did a power walk for 2miles - later I will get in another power walk with my little girl.

~Tomorrow my workout plans are a 2mile power walk then i will come home and do Heavy weights-shoulders,calves&Core then lower intensity step aerobics.

I don't want to eat EVER AGAIN....got my teeth cleaned this morning I love feeling them afterwords. I have two extractions scheduled in two weeks...now those are no fun

FruitLady- Halloween Candy is everywhere... it was so hard to pass by that Aisle at Walmart yesterday.

rainbowstripe-I have a treadmill and barely use the thing...i feel like a hamster, its so boring i've considered selling it but i know I will use it when its really cold out. I use to run on it but that got boring too . How did your walk go?

Fit4Lyfe- im zigzagging my cals too...today is a lower day for me. Im really loving it, there is so much freedom.

ricepapr-Good luck to you on your riding distance. My DH wants to get a bike so we can all ride together (got two smaller kids that love riding as well).

My eating has been fantabulous so far this challenge.

I did 40 minutes on the treadmill this morning so I will do another 40 this evening. I ended yesterday on 1350 calories and will be ending today at about 1300. I am going to get to that size 12 before too long. One of my biggest challenges would be the arms. I will be really working them for the remaining time this year.

Shylah - It's good to see you. I missed you and was wondering how you were doing with those TSP's. How are you doing by the by??
Misspriss - You are still one of my Sheros!!! Those workouts of yours are enviable. I'm trying to catch up to because I need these arms to do better.

Good morning everyone!

Amelia, that it some heavy duty workout you are doing. Great job! You are sure to be rock solid at goal weight with all that lifting. I miss lifting weights, but because of freaky accident that happened to me years ago, I am unable to lift anything more than 5 pounds with my left arm. Ticks me off.

This morning I walked for 1 1/2 hours and did my 30-minute T-Tapp/Callenetics routine. I'll be glad when the race is over this Sunday. I'm not much into walking, even though it's great exercise, because it bores the heck out of me. But this race is for a good cause, so I'm putting up with it until Sunday. Then it's back to my normal exercise routine.

Calories were in check yesterday, too. Yay!

My weight was the same this morning, but I'm okay with that since I lost 1 1/2 pounds the day before.

Happy hump day to all? You all inspire me to keep pushing forward!!!

misspriss Your workouts sound great, way to go! I did end up going on the treadmill, 35 minutes - 20 of which were jogging and I even managed to jog for 16 minutes straight (last time I tried I only managed 8). I do get tired of it though, especially since it faces a floor to ceiling bookshelf rather than a window and I can't move it on my own!

jiggle I envy your treadmill dedication! I just don't have it.

I just went to the doctor and was not impressed. I ask for a referral to a specialist and she got all cool and extra uncaring after that (she's not really a caring doctor to begin with). I guess she didn't like that I wanted another opinion, but she's so hasty to make decisions and I want a really good check up "down there" for my peace of mind - it's not something to mess around with and I don't want to take it lightly!
I'm a bit stressed out about the whole thing and it's showing - I haven't eaten yet and I feel a bit nauseous but I know I have to eat breakfast so I will get something soon.
I am having no problems keeping calories in check, my problem is exercising at the moment. I know it could be good stress relief but right now I feel like curling up on the couch with a good movie to get my mind off things. I know that even if I'm on the treadmill listening to music, my mind will still be racing at possibilities of what could be wrong with me.

Well done all you ladies keeping on track with your goals! My weight is teetering around the same one pound so I'm hoping it will disappear soon - it's confusing weighing in kg and then converting to pounds haha.

Sorry For not being so active But I started my period after the teeth got pulled & I was The queen "B" ~LOL Anyways over it..Mouth is feeling great ~period is going more smoothly...I am getting lots of hugs from the hubby(poor guy I drive him nuts during my period LOL) He is super supportive though ~THANK GOD.....

ElizabethG ~ I don't know when was I last dressed up for Halloween. But I belonged to a reenactment group, so I dressed up most weekends every summer and I think that kind of took the shine off the idea.

As for me I'm down a pound and sooo close to being out of the obese category!! I also registered on ************ for calorie tracking. It's so tedious, but I it made me realize I hadn't looked at what I should be doing for daily calories since I started. When I started, I looked at maintenance for someone my height at my goal weight and decided to eat that. According to MFP I should be eating 200 calories less. I'm a bit hungry, but I know I will adjust soon.

see the mid 160's (163-167) ~ I'm at 170.2 now
log all calories (been lax about this)

Hi all- Sounds like everyone is doing great!

This is a new mindset and a new day to me. Starting fresh from yesterdays food disaster. I had some issues w/ my 25yr old son, he's been living here all along without paying room and board and had no job ever! All we did was fight, he's using drugs, and doing it in the house w/ his blasting music everyday, among other things that drove me nuts. This has been a problem since he turned 18. I kicked him out before, but he always came back w/ a sob story. Well, I kicked him out again a week ago, this time I am not taking him back. His door is nailed and boarded shut, from the break in while I was on vacation. I'm pretty sure it had to do with him and his crazy friends. I feel so stress free now! I feel free of him, I love him dearly, but he needed tough love! It took a while for the happiness to hit me cause I've been depressed and angry for 7 yrs. I felt great today and only had 1050 calories!

As for me: I'm on the road tomorrow night for a conference in Minneapolis Friday, so going to weigh in tomorrow morning since I won't be here Friday, which is my normal WI day. I really want to have some Chipotle to take to my hotel room tomorrow night (we don't have Chipotle my neck of the woods--which is probably a very good thing for my diet. I looooove me some Chipotle.), but I think I will do the tacos which is 600 cals vs. 900 cals for the burrito! Sodium, I know...but it will actually fit right into my budget calorie wise for the day.

Fruitlady: Sounds like a tough situation with your son, but you did the right thing. He is an adult now but will never learn to act like one until he HAS to. I hope he finds his way!!

So I sign up for this challenge and promptly go into radio silence. Meh - I will do better! Food has been good since Monday, I've hit the gym three days in a row. I am a bit frustrated being restricted in my workouts due to the surgery but I am very VERY slowly ramping it up. Can't wait til I'm cleared for weights again.

Luckily Halloween presents almost no challenge for me - don't have kids, don't go to Halloween parties, and don't open our house for trick or treating, so I won't have any candy around. People do bring their excess candy to work so I'll have an after-Halloween challenge there! Also trying to avoid eating out but today and tomorrow for sure I'll be out at lunch due to work commitments - I will make the best choices I can make and just go from there.

I also finally recharged my GoWearFit after not using it since May (yikes, and I'm paying a monthly fee!) so that's now strapped back on and doing its thing. I figure every little helps. Oh, and I'm tracking my food in Lose It! on my iPod again. Got to get back into the accountability routine for sure.

I only walked for an hour this morning after my 30-minute at-home workout, and I can't wait for this race to be over so I can get back to just doing my at-home workouts. I really do not like walking. And this morning this rude guy on a bike yelled at me and my mom saying, "Get off the f*cking road you f*cking b!tches!" Why do people have to be so mean and rude? This is why I prefer to workout in the privacy of my own home where I don't have to have any run ins with self-centered pr!cks like this.

Sorry for the vulgarity. I was just really upset by this. Moreso because he said this while my mom was there. Be rude to me...fine, but don't be rude to someone I love.

Okay, vent is over. Only one more training day until the race and then it's back to my regularly scheduled program. lol

Hoping my appetitie comes back soon & Not to the point of wanting to over eat.....Maybe I am getting the flu or something....~Not sure.I feel ok though.
Proboly just worrying over something I should just pray about...So I will pray.

Well I am up to 109.7 from that candy 2 days ago. That's ok, I am back on track. I am less stressed now, it's making a big difference with my appetite. I'm not as hungry & don't have cravings as much. I am now focusing on me for once & my husband and I being the happiest ever and my daughter, who is now getting lots more of my attention.
