We only had 20 this year. I'm sure the weather kept the numbers down a bit. I am suffering from such a food hangover. I decided not to count calories for Christmas, and right now, I am retaining water from the salt, and generally sluggish. If I never see another piece of chocolate.
Today I cleaned my but off! My room was never really "unpacked" so I finished that and dusted and swept and mopped. Lord..I know where all the dustbunnies lived! I am just glad it is done..finally
I also made a chocolate cake. I also baked oatmeal cookies. YES me the one that hates the kitchen!
HUbby is still home sick..and will probably be home again tomorrow. Although he is sick..I do love having him home. His normal days off are not weekends..BUMMER!
I got ALOT of cards made for OWH. I will mail them next week. The ones I am making now are Valentines day cards..next I will do some Easter ones.
Hi everyone! I am breathing a big sigh that Christmas is over! I had an okay day I guess. It was a bit depressing to not have any family to celebrate with. I spent the evening at my pastor and her husband's house with two other people from the church (one of whom is also a minister and teaches at my school in theology) and a friend of my minister's. I was shy, and felt a bit out of place because I am a lot younger, but they were really nice. It was kind of funny to be drunk under the table by a bunch of clergy. Hahaha. Didn't consume too many calories either, since my pastor and her husband don't have dairy or sugar. We had lamb, which I am not a big fan of, but I ate some so I wouldn't be rude! I am feeling weird and empty today. I feel sad because they are celebrating with their family tomorrow and I don't have any family here right now to celebrate with. Also feeling clingy, because I am close with my pastor and it was so nice to spend Christmas with her, and I know she is retiring in the spring, so I don't know what I am going to do without that support in my life. Geez, this is getting depressing...
Anyway, I did well yesterday, but had chinese food (a ton of it) the two days leading up to Christmas, and today I had mexican, so I am pretty sure by the time I do weigh, I will be up.
Just checking in to say hello and hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I have to say that this is one of the very best Christmases I've had in years. It was just Joel and his sister Jean, myself and of coarse our sweet little ole Pepper. But just having hope for the future and having family was wonderful. We did lots of praising and worshiping of the Lord which was wonderful and exchanged a few little things.
Joel and Jean went in together and bought me an airwarmer so I can walk outside when it is cold. I am super excited about it and even though It looks like I am about to rob a bank or something, I can breath comfortably outside with it on. Praise God.
Kayley: so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. HUGs.
On Saturday we went to drive up to see our new puppy, to visit him. It was so nice and later I will try to post photos of him.
