  • Sorry, Amanda. It's so hard to curtail activity if you're used to being able to do many things. But it will get better, as long as you follow directions! This is the good news.

  • Today started with the best of intentions.

I got up. I got prettied up. I packed myself a nice healthy grilled chicken, bbq sauce, and light wheat bread sandwich to eat while driving to the shower, so as to not be starving when I got there.

Then a 1.5 hour drive magically morphed into a 3 hour drive, due to some insane traffic. So I arrived at the party frazzled, hungry, and late.

I didn't do too badly - for appetizers, I ate 2 taquitos, 5 tortilla chips with guac, and a gigantor plate of fruit because I was still starving, along with my one drink, a mimosa. Then for dinner, 1 piece (2 in by 2 in) of a Mexican casserole type thingy, about 2 inch long piece of chimichanga, a cup of salad (it was a veggie, sure, but was heavily dressed and had pasta and beans in it...), 5 more chips with guac, and a mini corn muffin.

Then (after another 2 hour drive back...still traffic, though less) I met friends and had a martini and a glass of wine, but then I realized I was veering off track and when we got dinner (Thai), I got a stirfry of steamed tofu and veggies. Good, healthy, and totally OP.

I don't think it was catastrophic, but I do think I could have made better choices and stayed away from the taquitos and chips.
  • Amanda - sorry about the 3lb weight hitting your shoulder so hard...
