Sue: You are in my prayers. It's very hard to see someone you respect suffering. May God do a wonderful work through your pastor. Our pastor was killed tragically 5 years ago and although it was devestating it brought our church body closer to each other. Priorities changed.

I have survived the heat wave we just went through. I did gain 2 lbs. most of which was water retention. I hope it goes down soon. I've been drinking lots of water but did eat some chips and chinese food yesterday which is great for retaining water. We spent the day at the lake yesterday visiting with friends. It was very relaxing. Tomorrow I take youngest DS to camp where he will be working as a senior counsellor for the next 6 weeks. I'm so glad that he's using his summer time wisely.

Well, gotta go. I actually have work to do today. My garden is calling me.

Hi everyone

Just stopping in to say hi since I haven't been around for a few days. Things are crazy here and my daughter is coming tomorrow for a week (from Tampa, FL). She comes almost every year for her birthday which is the 4th of July. So I'm trying to work 8 hours a day, do things around the house and get food in the house....YIKES! Food!!!!!! Ha....

Anyway, can't talk to everyone tonight but I'll write again in the next day or so. I am just praying to do well over the holiday weekend.

Thanks Wilma, I believe this is doing the same thing for our church. It was so hot yesterday, the heat index was 104 we mountain people in upstate New York aren't used to that. I just popped in to say Hi and remind everyone to keep our country in their prayers as the 4th is a memorable day for another attack to take place. Hope all enjoy the 4th, I am working, and then I am off to prayer meeting, Pastor was going to move the day this week, but several decided it was a good thing to be in prayer, on that day, with the shape our country is in these days.
