  • same today 176.4
  • I'm at 177 this morning.

One thing that scares me about getting a new scale, especially going from analog dial scale to a digital scale, is that I know the reading will probably be different. What if I lose five pounds, but then the new scale says I've regained all of it back? That can be demoralizing. Hopefully it won't be a huge difference.
  • I was worried about that. I weighed myself with the old scale and then immediately put the new scale in its place and weighed myself again to see the difference. I know it sounds stupid but doing it in a row like that helped. The new scale read 1 lb. lighter
  • Ooh, that's good that your new scale read lighter! I hope mine will do that when the time comes.
  • 176.6
  • I'm somewhere between 176 and 177. The line is kind of in the middle of those two numbers on the scale.
  • 175.2
  • The scale reads the same as yesterday, but my clothes seem quite a bit looser. I can pull my jeans down without unfastening them.
  • 176.4... omg, I was just thinking that same thing!! I pulled my jeans out of the dryer this morning and they are already super loose! Maybe that means we are going to get a whoosh on the scales soon!!
  • Same as yesterday. I think a whoosh is definitely in the works.
  • 176.2 patiently waiting!! The pair of jeans I am wearing today are loose already too, so it wasn't a coincidence!!
  • Yes, same here. I am maybe a hint closer to the 176 line than I was yesterday, but on an analog scale that doesn't mean much.

The good news is that I have been wearing size 16 wide jeans, which I can now pull down without unfastening. This morning I tried on a slightly smaller pair of jeans, size 16 misses. Before I couldn't get them up past my thighs. This morning I pulled them all the way up and fastened them. They felt comfortable. So there's definitely something going on, even if the scale doesn't show it.
  • That is awesome about your jeans!!! How tall are you?

    174.4
  • I'm 5'4". How tall are you?

I don't have a reliable weight this morning. I usually weigh between 8 and 9am, the past couple of days it's been between 7 and 8am... This morning I was up at 4:30am. Those few hours make a big difference, it seems. The scale showed my weight between 178 and 179. I know for a fact that I didn't do anything to cause weight gain, so I have to go with it being water weight that usually is released later in the day.

Speaking of water, do you find that if you drink more water that you lose weight faster?
  • I'm 5'4 as well!! Weighing in earlier usually shows an increase for me too, I agree that it is probably water weight that gets released later!

YES!!! I try to drink as much water as possible!!
