Cap I'm sad we don't get to read what you wrote. Your posts are always so insightful. You can definitely beat those last 2 lbs!
Maile I totally identify with your irrational fear of not getting that added pound off. I have to remind myself that even if I never lose another pound, I'm thin not fat now.
Paint Thanks for sharing. You're doing great!
Pxl Sorry you're struggling.
Honestly, I haven't posted in a few days because I feel so great and I know a lot of you are struggling. My four weeks of P1 and two weeks of Phase 2 were hard (I was hungry constantly...very different from the first time around on P1). Now I'm on P3, about halfway through two weeks, I feel soooo much better. It must be the breakfasts. I made a delicious breakfast concoction with granola, yogurt and peanut butter. It tastes like a peanut butter pie. With some WF chocolate syrup, it might just be the yummiest P3 breakfast ever. I am 1.4 lbs away from my goal of 130. I know if I just keep consistent, it will come off. We'll start P4 in about a week so I'd like to see 130 before then.
I've been enlightened by and about exercise. About 9 weeks ago, DH and I started an 8 week get healthy challenge with some friends. We got daily points for various things, one of which was exercise. So I FORCED myself to exercise 45 min 5 x week just so I could get my points (I sometimes forget how competitive I am!). Most days I just walked for 45 minutes, sometimes not even briskly, just walking to say I did the exercise. An amazin thing happened while I was working on my physical fitness...my brain started clearing up! My mood has been so much better, I'm not always grumpy and in a funk like I was before. I'm bordering on optimistic! I'd heard about exercise and endorphins, but I've never exercised over a long enough period of time to experience it. The difference in my mood was really remarkable. So when the first 8 week challenge ended, I jumped into another one so I could keep the momentum going. I've completed my first week of Couch to 5k walking/running 3 days a week and at the gym for circuit training class 2x week with a goal of running a 5k in May and a 10k in the summer. DH and I have been thinking about a cruise in November and I'm hoping I'm fit enough and brave enough by then to wear a bikini
For those of you who are struggling, I encourage you to consider an official no-cheating IP reboot/pancreas reset. It's HARD, but it might be harder mentally and emotionally to struggle with the few pounds gained.
