Go for it! I just did the 20-minute run and it feels great. Originally Posted by toastedsmoke

I slowed waaaay down and it was easier for me than the 5- and 8-minute runs at a faster speed. I'll work on speed again once I am up to 30 minutes running.
So while I was away for Thanksgiving, I did W5D1 and D2. I didn't attempt D3 but instead jumped to W6D1, which is two 5-minute runs and one 8-minute run. It was HARD, as I had a 4-day break in between runs.
Today I had planned to do W6D2 - two 10-minute runs - but actually I was short on time and decided to just run straight through. Dropped down to 4.5 mph and went for it.
Now that I have done that, my plan is to do another 20-minute run in two days, then on to the 25s, 28s and 30s. I still can't believe that this is working.
A side note: I have GAINED weight since I started this
I think I am eating more and justifying it by feeling like I exerted myself with running (even though it is only ~200 cal/run now). I know I don't have that much weight to lose, but STILL - it took me 6 months to lose 6 lbs and now it's mostly back... But that's a different topic... Power on, chickies!!

Come next summer, I will be out running 6 miles WITH him! (and hopefully outrunning him)
