Hi Everyone,
No special plans for today. My DD is going to see our dermatologist – more signs of her face cancer. I REALLY hope that she does NOT have to go through that horrible, face burning cream treatment again!
Have a good day everyone,
Lynn

Hi Donna,
I am with you. My first husband abused me & I became a care-taker to my second husband (Donald) after his stroke. Actually, I had been VERY happy with Donald for 25 non-married years. We got married only because I needed to care for him when he had his stroke & that meant I had to give up my job and lose my health benefits. Also, to have the authority to make medical decisions for him, it was a lot easier if I was his wife. I miss Donald horribly, but I miss the non-married years – NOT the married ones.

There are months I don't win, that's just the way it goes, usually it's when I'm not entering as much of course. This month I've entered quite a bit but not quite as much as I was the past three months.
Lynn - I've tried WW in the past but for me counting calories seems easier. Also WW was not really set up for diabetics. Has it changed in that regard or do you just watch the carbs yourself? Each day I think I'll focus on carbs and not go over but it seems like I always do. Last night I was doing fair (not great) but I got so hungry I gave in and ate and of course it was carbs, so my BS was high this morning. I can only eat so much meat and non-starchy veggies! Plus if one is a diabetic you also have to watch the fat and sodium. I almost didn't go to the gym today myself...if dh hadn't been going, I probably wouldn't have...know that tired feeling well and your BP may also be making you tired. I hope you can get that straightened out soon. Take care of yourself.
Hi Mary,
Did you ever hear of “Secret Shoppers?” When I was with my cousins, I found out that 2 of them are “Secret Shoppers.” They get money and /or coupons for doing things where they evaluate the business. I thought you might be interested.
With the online WW, you really are counting calories. You enter the fat, carbs, protein in the food you eat & they give you points. Surprisingly, fruit & veggies no longer have points. Last night I got hungry and had a piece of cantaloupe. My bs was 98 this morning.

I go back to see him next week so we will see what happens then. With my meds, it's running around 150/82. That's too high. Before I took the Cipro it stayed around 120/70. I guess losing some weight would help, too.
I have found that if I keep my carbs low I can keep my portions small. This helps with BS and weight loss. But lately I've been eating some carby meals and being addicted to carbs, I overeat. I KNOW this, but I keep doing it.
Hi Carol Sue,
What happened with me was the company stopped making the drug that I had been using for years. In trying to find something new that will work as well, it either doesn’t work, or I get too many side-effects.
We probably all have the same issue with carbs. I have never met anyone who got overweight eating veggies. This is why I started WW again. I need to get back on track & get off the unhealthy carbs.

Hi Marie,
You can say that again! Last week was like summer and today I need my winter coat!

Hi Isabella,
Funerals & long drives – both VERY tiring. Hope you got to bed early & slept well.
Hi Rosey,
From my experience, men are NOT happy campers when they are sick. Here’s wishing him a speedy recovery!

Maybe we should start a club

Hi Gayle,
I think it is the new meds that are making me tired. Maybe it will get better after I have been taking them for a while.
