  • I finally hit 169 today!! I feel like shouting from the rooftops lol im new so i hope noone cares im joining u.
  • DollyMichele, I'm game! Just Thursdays for me for at least another week. Are you going to go with one day a week too? Hope you get your new scale soon.

Weighed in yesterday at 161. Finally some movement! Did a little dance when I got off the scale. I really cannot wait to see 159.

nascar316, thrilled to have you! I love seeing new faces in this thread. Keeps it lively. Good luck to you!
  • 168.8 today. I keep expecting to get on the scale and see it say 180 again. Im thrilled it doesnt but this doesnt seem real to me yet. Sounds pathetic doesnt it lol
  • so I got my new scale - I'm not exactly doing great with the whole "weight myself once a week" plan. =/

I have not only been weighing myself everyday but now I am weighing myself on BOTH scales (old & new). Gah!!

I am addicted to that darn number! It is like drugs, I tell myself I don't need to weigh in but then 20 seconds later I'm hopping on it & praying for a miracle. I'm annoyed at my lack of will power. Somehow I manage to stop myself from eating over my calories but I can't stop myself from a scale.

the new scale is pretty neat too! It is way less complicated than my old one & very accurate. My next step is to get rid of the old one I think. then maybe moving to every other day weighing in? maybe going cold turkey was too much for me.
  • Scale said 167 today. Thank goodness. Only 5lbs away from my first 10% and I want that so bad I could scream LOL LOL
  • DollyMichelle - You changed your avatar! That's you, right? You look absolutely gorgeous!

Honestly, I think the only reason I did so well not weighing this week was because I've been sick. I just haven't had the energy to bother doing it. My mind hasn't much been on weight loss so much as simply getting healthy again.

Weighing every other day sounds like a good plan. How are you doing with it so far?

nascar316 - They say there are so many health benefits to losing 10% and you are sooo close. Keep it up; you'll get there in no time!
  • Thistleberry - congrats on the 161!!!

DollyMichele - how long have you been in a plateau? i wouldn't worry unless it is more than 6 weeks... also, can you change up your exercise plan? my body likes the shock of the new ("likes" as in finds it very challenging).

With 3 weeks of better eating and back to 4x/week exercising, I am happy to say I'm back down to 165. I still won't feel real progress until I see an entirely new number, 163... maybe in a month? This is going to be another doozy of a stressful month, sigh.
  • So I managed to do great not weighing myself but on the other hand I think i ate my weight in pizza, tacos, and burgers. ooops.

I gained 3 pounds. That is what I get for binging. But I'm back on the wagon. I managed to lose 1 pound this weekend and now have 2 make-up pounds to go.

Thistleberry - I hope you are feeling better, being sick & trying to lose weight is really hard. Thanks for the compliment - that is me in the picture. =) It is the dress for that ball I went to a few weeks ago.

I think I definitely have to weight more than once a week, I need the accountability. So I am going to stick with doing it every other day. so far after 4 days I have stuck to it. I think this is something I can stick with. then maybe move it to every three days as I get better at it.

Jazzfan- i have a confession... I don't exercise at all right now. hee hee. 95% of my weightloss has been diet. I am going to start adding in some elliptical workouts to get me past the plateau. guess i have to start working out- boo! my job keeps me pretty active (retail) but i don't count that as my workout.
  • Hi All,
I am back for the first time today after having my beautiful baby girl. I had a great delivery and lost all the pregnancy weight right away. However, my body is definitely different and I feel so flabby (my muscle I had pre-pregnancy has turned into flab). I have been walking and now feel good enough to start exercising more and watching what I eat. I look forward to loosing the flab and reaching my goal weight...someday.

I am not quite in the 160's but because I am so close I decided to start here. 170.6 this morning
  • I'm 168.9 today I'm so excited to be out of the 170s and to finally be at a healthy BMI
  • I'm still here.... 3 more pounds and I'll be out. The 160's have been the hardest to break through so I'm hoping that I'll be out soon lol
  • Mind if I jump in here? The other 160s thread is kinda dead

The 160s have vexed me... been here seemingly FOREVER! Now at 163 I'm hoping they go away SOON!
  • fyreflie24 I'm with you, we have the same goal and same amount of pounds left. We can do it!!
  • Quote: fyreflie24 I'm with you, we have the same goal and same amount of pounds left. We can do it!!
And the same height! How funny! My original goal was 135 but I'm wearing jeans (barely but they're on) that I bought when I was 145 the last time so here's to changes in body composition! I'm excited to see how this last 18 is going to come off this time since my body composition is so different but oy veh, it's a slow process. My nutritionist and I set a final goal date of July 15th so at least there's an end in sight!

July 15th you say?!?!?!?!?!? That has made me so excited for you!!!! That's so soon, considering how far you have come and how hard you have worked! You must be so proud. I know I am.

Hahaha && I know after I sent the message I just noticed that we were the same height! That's amazing!! We may be built differently though, from looking at your display picture you seem a lot smaller than I do. I have really big bones, but regardless, we are going the same direction

I too had an original goal of 135, but I'm being realistic, in aiming for 145 first, then taking it one pound at a time afterwards to see if I feel like going for the long run, which I probably will. Who feels like stopping when there's just a little bit more to push for
