  • Unfortunately... yes.

I know this because the gym I go to has 10 channels up on their 20 tvs and some shows look soapy and the magazines in the check out lanes still have that one soap (that's been on for freakin' forever)'s actors/characters on it.

I haven't actually watched a tv purposefully in about four or more years.
    I don't miss it really, hehe .
  • A quote from Thomas Edison:

There are no rules here. We're trying to accomplish something.
  • Is there a quote that says the exact opposite of that, Cathy?

If so, I need a 15 foot banner with the quote to post behind my desk.

  • Zan we can do it...and who knows if ole Tommy Edison actually said that...

There are a butt load of rules here. We aren't trying to accomplish a darn thing.

    How is that?
  • 350 . . .
    . . . 150 to go.

    Hope this helps.
  • Poetic, Cathy. Simply poetic, And I have to say, rather tempted to post that Bill.

    "butt load" *snicker*

That reminds me of the time that my boss asked the other group's boss if they had a "preference in that area" when it came to toilet paper. I couldn't help but snicker out loud and the poor guy got so embarassed.

  • Well, folks, I gots me a job. I am now a part-time package handler. Watch out folks!!! I'm gonna be getting me a major hottie body outta this one. It's from 10-3 at night, which works well with my body clock and will be good with my college schedule. I'm also volunteering with a place that helps entrepreneurs donate to charity. I'll be able to put the college learning to work and hopefully make some contacts for getting a good job here before long. Although, the company I'm now with is pretty good about hiring from within too. Things are starting to move for me finally.

Oh, and a big, fat YIPPEE!!!! My oldest is planning on starting college this fall. When she brought it up, her dad was there and since his income is gonna make it almost impossible for her to get much in the way of grants and such, I immediately trapped him into a promise to pay for her schooling. It's the least and I do mean the very least he can do(That was one of his favorite sayings when we were married ).
  • Welcome back, operator...it is so dull here when you are away. Your new job sounds worlds away from your old one. Hope everything works out for you.
  • Heck, I've done a little bit of everything in my lifetime. This is the first time I'll be going from one end of the spectrum to the other on a daily basis though. The volunteering is in the high end, ritzy part of the city where I have to dress all nice and talk like a lady and all that happy a**in' crap. Then, I take a nap and put on my jeans and an "up yours" t-shirt and go get sweaty and play double entendre for a few hours. hehe Should be interesting to say the least.
  • Good Luck Operator!
  • Operator, someday you should write a book.....and when you do I want an autographed copy .
  • OMG!! It's Saturday, I'm not working and I'm out tending my yard like those normie peoples do on Saturdays. This is like living in Lala Land. What is the world coming to?

Thanx Cathy. And, Bargoo, what? Is you having troubles getting to sleep and need a boring book to put you down?
  • 360 . . .
    . . . 140 to go

Congrats to EMPRESS Operator for the new job. If it's UPS type packages from Amazon, kindly handle softly - I ordered a book and I'm not fond of bent pages.
