It was all I could do not to scream obscenities as the caffeine headache set in and the kids stopped to examine every single rock on the sidewalk.

I am sorry, I would have been a wreck too!
We had an espresso machine for a while that was on the fritz but we were still pressing the button like there was no tomorrow. One day it just stopped working. Mind you, we were planning on saving up (and started doing so) to buy another machine. My guy went to the store to get some instant coffee. Yep,
instant (This is against the LAW in my book - I work for Starbucks, and I'm not only a Coffee Master but I'm this YEAR'S Coffee Ambassador for the region). We choked down a cup of that
stuff and he said "That's it, get your shoes on and grab your coats we're going to buy a new espresso machine". Just like that. One hour and €420 later, we had a new machine and all was well again. Boy the kids loved that!

(great lesson for them.. hmmmm, not so much).

Run, Kim! Run! Run like the wind! You can do it!

We had him air lifted from the local hospital to Hershey Medical center for more specialized care. What a nightmare. My sister is running on autopilot and thank God my entire family is coming in from all over the U.S. Things aren't looking real great, so I was hoping you guys could take a bit of your time today and say a prayer for Richie. He is the greatest guy and so many people love him.
Thanks guys.

I'm so sorry Lisa. Lots of good thoughts coming your way
WHOO HOO! What a great loss! Way to go!!!
If ANYONE needs me to keep them in check (and return the favour), please PM me, I love the contact and I love keeping each other motivated!

What scared me was that his lips looked nearly the same as his skin. He didn't act sick in the least though. Just super happy and easy. She called his pediatrician on Saturday but he said to bring him in Monday morning. The lab work showed that his rbc's were terribly low and he's had 2 transfusions so far and they are waiting to see if he'll need a third. They don't know why this is happening yet, but I'm wondering if it's something genetic since he's not acting sick at all. Plus my Grandma had a series of evolution strokes this past weekend and I think I need to head down to SoCal for a visit. She's 93.
Nori, lots of good thoughts coming your way too. Is this the OSU in Portland, Oregon? My nephew was there for the most of his first year - he was a big time preemie. I hear they are one of the BEST in the country! I have a good feeling your little nephew will be just fine

OMG - this is so me. I will definitely suck grounds before I go instant again!
I really, REALLY hope you get your run tonight. We don't need any fuses blown.

Not a problem, just let me know. I'm happy to go and take pics for you - at least you can see what it looks like there!
I actually came here in 1994 for a job. It was supposed to be 3 years. However, since I was around 10 years old I wanted to live in Europe. Originally it was France (I saw the movie Le Ballon Rouge - which in fact we took the kids to see this past weekend - almost 30 years later I still LOVED it - and they adored it as well), so I studied French while I was in High School (and Spanish, just in case). When an opportunity came up I jumped at it. After 2 years here I wasn't satisfied with the outcome - what I wanted more than anything was to speak another language fluently and really KNOW what it was like to be immersed in another country and culture, so I decided to stay. 12 years after that decision, I'm still here. I've had ups and downs, but I've had experiences that I would have NEVER had if I hadn't taken the risk to stay. So, no regrets, and really, this is my home now

You'll be gone in no time!
I'm starting to feel a whole lot better, but this is the time that I usually start to feel like it's okay to miss a day or two at the gym....so now is the time I have to kick it into high gear and make sure I make it everyday!! Anybody else have that problem too? When you lose 10 or more lbs and you start to feel better, so you don't feel like you have to work as hard? It's usually my downfall! BUT not this time!!!
WHOO HOO!!! GO YOU!!! (My mantra is actually Eff You, Fat - seems to work for now

)
and I agree, NOT THIS TIME Girlfriend!!! THIS TIME you are going to KEEP GOING!!!

We all need your Leigh Ann and we want to be here for you. So forgiveness is in abundance here! Don't worry and get on track when you are up to it! Feel better soon!!

blech! hope the feeling's gone now!!
Another perfect day here - though admittedly I was a bit hungrier today. May have to re-look at the % of protein - complex carbs - fats I'm eating and switch up a bit. We have two days off so at least I can take it easy tomorrow (ie, not have to get up at 4.30 am to MAKE all the food I take with me) and make sure I am feeling well and satisfied.
A little bit of exercise for me - 30 minutes brisk walking. Am still -1.5points in the red for my week (was 6 points over on Sunday and am working that off). That should be finito by tomorrow AND by the end of the week I'll have plus points for all that exercise I'm doing (well, I'm doing something EVERY DAY this week, mark my words!!!).
I'm off for now, please don't post 3672 pages while I'm sleeping!
