  • Weekends off? What a concept! Enjoy.

After reading the papers and watching the news all week I'm just thinking OPERATOR is our last chance for survival on the "island"
  • You ainna hearing no "Vote for Me" speech, either. Once the vetting process would begin, I'd be totally screwed.

Oh, I think most of the baby-boomers(the biggest voting block) would want me more than just neutered when I point out that Social Security and Medicare can't be sustained at the present retirement age and must be raised to 75 at a minimum. After all, when it was first established, life expectancy was 60 and the benefit age was 63. Only 6% of the folks that put into it would receive benefits. Now, expectancy is in the 80's and boomers want every penny x 15-30 years of sitting on their butts back that they put in regardless of whether or not they have a pension from their employers, are perfectly healthy and capable of earning a living and they don't give a darned what their kids and grandkids, etc. have to go through to give it to them.

Sorry, but the idea of "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." died for the boomers when they buried JFK. Now, all that consumes their thoughts is, "Well, I already got(and wasted)everything that my parents could leave me. Now, what can my great-grand-children fork over before they are born and can do anything about it?"

Do you honestly think I could keep my mouth shut when some r*tard gets in my face screaming, "LESS GOVERNMENT!!!" while holding a sign that says, "Don't touch MY SS and Medicare"? (which account for over 1/2 of our projected deficit, BTW). That would just scream, "Screw my kids, I want mine!!!" to me. Really, could I keep my mouth shut and not tell the selfish PoS what I think about that???

So, now how do you like the way I vet(vent)?? Do I still have your vote?
  • Sheesh, Operator! Tell us what you think.

Um....let's hope this thread doesn't get into a political argument or I'll have to close it before 500. (Since I'm a wishy-washy Canadian, I never get myself involved into political discussions.)
  • Can we get a blood pressure check here for OPERATOR?
  • HELP!

We need a blood pressure check over in isle three for Operator!

    See what Gary started!
  • Does someone need to call the fire department for Operator? Cuz those keys were smokin' on the computer!
