  • Still dehydrated, hard to drink a lot while at work but I didn't do too bad yesterday. But I know I'm dehydrated when I slam a couple large glasses of water and don't have to pee in the next 20 minutes. But I plan to drink a lot today as week.

    I managed to go food shopping yesterday so now I have good choices in my kitchen. I hope to see another drop this week. At this point I won't make it to goal, but now I have a better idea of my weight loss patterns, so I can choose a more realistic goal for next month.

  • This has never happened before and will probably never happen again, but I lost weight on Carb Day! That's great news for my attempt to make goal this week, but it also clearly shows that ANYTHING can happen, so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!

    Magistra, yay on getting out and getting your kitchen stocked! You have done great this month! It can be really hard to judge how much to make a monthly goal, so all we can do is just take our best guess, do our best to stick to plan, and wish for luck!
  • Thanks Jaqui Am feeling a bit better today - more time between pain meds and swelling is down. Looking less like a hamster too swelling under my jaw is now minimal.

    Cheered myself up with a hair cut and fresh hair dye (trying to get back to my natural colour so it was a blend colour).

    JacquiD ~ Another girl on fire over here!!! No longer obese, another 25 lbs down--girl, you are doing so fantastic!! I hear ya on weight loss being more fun without an event looming over you. Last time I lost I had nothing but me to focus on, this time, my sister's wedding loomed large and sometimes put quite a damper on my progress. Now that it's over and I survived public speaking (gulp), I have only me to worry about and I am ready for the fun to begin!

    Sizzlingina ~ TOM is such a pain! I mean, it's bad enough we have to deal with him showing up, why does he have to throw a wrench in our progress! Ugh! Great job staying the course, TOM will be gone and progress will resume!

    BerryBlondeBoys ~ Congrats on making GOAL!!! I hope you're having a blast on your vacation!!

    Delphi ~ Girl I missed you too! Wow, you're having a crazy month too! Congrats on the new job!!! I hope you love it! Don't sweat the prevacation weight, it'll come right off! You're getting in some awesome workouts girlie and already the scale is moving in the right direction! I agree with the other ladies, taking in a dress is far easier than letting one out. Just find a dress you love, let them know you are losing and that it will need to be taken in. Some dresses might be more tricky than others, so they'll be able to keep that in mind. Lastly, wanna come clean, purge and organize my house? Please oh please oh please?! It is my very least favorite thing to do and I so very much need to do it!

    I knew I'd see a bump up today, we ate out last night and I had too many chips with my salsa. I stayed under my calories, but the dang salt...oh, not to mention that TOM is still hanging around. However...I can still say GOAL MET so it's all good.

    Okay, so let's see...the wedding went well, I didn't end up sweating through my dress while I did my reading , no one passed out or freaked out--so it was great! My sister was gorgeous and my new bil is so sweet! I am so very happy for them. They are currently on their honeymoon and I am now jealous of them. LOL I managed to get every single workout in while being gone for a month and I lost a total of 9 lbs while I was away (as of yesterday). I am also down a pant size!!! The hardest part of this journey, besides having to do it , was how agonizingly slow dropping clothing sizes has been. I know it's because I was pushing the very limits of the seams of my biggest sizes, but still...it hurt to be down 20, 30, 40 lbs without seeing the next size down. Finally 60 lbs in and I am down a solid two sizes. Whew! I am looking forward to finishing out this month and getting a fresh start next month. I have one more vacation at the end of next month, but it's only for a week and if I can do a month and lose, I can do a week in my sleep.

    Okay ladies, I am officially all caught up! Now to just keep up! Have a great rest of the day girls!!!

    ~ Thanks! It was a blast and I definitely kept busy right up until the ceremony started. LOL I had no idea I was going to be doing half of what I did, but I really enjoyed it! It was nice to be busy during our trip, I never got a chance to get bored!

    *yawn* Trying to get back on IN time and stop staying up and sleeping in so late. The kids sleep cycles are a mess too, so I had to wake them up early even though they were up well past 11:00 (the boys well past midnight), they should be a treat this afternoon.
    More cleaning and organizing on the schedule today and then I need to figure out what our week will be like. We haven't seen our friends in a month and the kids are chomping at the bit to bit the library (well, the boys are, the girls want to stay home and play with the neighbor girls ).

  • Back from vacation and it was not fun in the holding water weight department. I was gaining at least a pound a day EVEN WHEN I KNEW I was eating right. I stopped weighing myself halfway through and weighed myself this morning - 24 hours after getting home. I can pack on water/glycogen weight like nobody's business! So, I'm hoping to pee it off these next few days. I had "some" true gain, for sure, but not THAT much!

It's so wonderful to go on vacation and to see family, etc., but isn't it also nice when you get back home and things just kind of normalize again? I'm glad you had a great time!     Jacqui You're scale looks like it's whooshing, especially considering it's post carb day. You just might hit that goal! And even if you don't, you're still doing incredible.

    This weekend it was slow at work so my fiance and I discussed wedding details and got most of the heavy lifting done. We both really don't like the idea of having the ceremony as part of the wedding, we want it more private and intimate, so we decided we'll do a courthouse wedding (immediate family only) and then a separate reception (close friends and extended relatives). We even picked our venue and we have an appointment set next week to decide if it's a fit for us and if that goes well we'll set the date. So much stress is off my plate now that we have a lot of things ironed out. I kept looking on pinterest for wedding ideas and I felt so overwhelmed. None of it reflected what I really wanted. I also don't like the idea of spending what is nearly equal to a house down payment on wedding. Granted, the venue we're looking at isn't cheap, but they are also all inclusive with bar and catering, and then a courthouse marriage is super cheap.

    I had a nice surprise on my scale this morning, a 2lb drop. We will see if I get to keep it. I am happy though. I really wanted to see another drop this week and I got my wish.

    Think it's wise for me to keep my goal at 231lb - not achieving the extra 3lb I'd hoped but still 10lb overall for the month of July is great!
