I did WI on Saturday and lost 2.5 pounds, which is great! I'm feeling better and having more energy. Played with my kids all weekend... and today my back is sore, but I'm okay.
Question... yesterday we took our youth group at church to Orange Leaf (self-serve yogurt and toppings) and I splurged a bit... had about 1/4 cup of yogurt with some chips on it... savored every bite and then had a sensible dinner with salad and chicken. This morning, I did the Meal Replacement shake and am going to be a good girl until my WI on Wednesday, just to make sure!
I'm still struggling a bit with the guilt of eating off plan, but definitely not as bad as before. I know it was planned, not in response to emotions or stress, and that I CAN and WILL get back on the horse!
Have a great week, all!
Rachels77, I have to say I don't have guilt when i get off plan. The two times it has happened have been spur of the moment things (and one tiny partly off plan that was planned out in advance, but just the meat). To me it gives me strength to get back on the horse and keep going. Kind of an "ok, I had my fun, now to get serious again."
I know I don't handle guilt well, and I figure it is a pointless emotion, I feel guilty over too many things already (calling in sick when I just feel slightly cruddy, not giving my cats enough attention, not bringing anything to the pot luck parties at work) I figure feeling guilty about enjoying what I am eating is just silly. It was good, time to move on. Eat to live not live to eat, true enough. But you might as well enjoy when you do get to have a little splurge. You know it is not something you can do all the time, and just move on. When I talked to my center about going off plan last week they told me that was why it worked differently for everyone, and as long as I did not stay off plan everything was fine.
I have long rambling explanations, sorry. But the point is you should not feel guilty. You had some Frozen Yogurt, you enjoyed it, it is done and time to move on to bigger (ok, hopefully smaller) and better things. Everything in moderation, including moderation.
