  • Cheese
I'm curious why you aren't just using the lowfat cheese? In my book on p. 21 it says 1.5 slices of lowfat cheese. I'm finding the "lack of cheese" in other things here too - did he rescind the cheese on phase 1?
  • I used Veggie Slices for cheese. Til Phase 2.
  • Okay, I admit...I saw the recipe for this and thought "crust made with oatmeal and beans? No way!!" I made the pizza tuesday, and topped it with no salt tomato sauce, sliced tomatoes, onions, veggie cheese and veggie pepperoni.....DELICIOUS!!! Thanks to whoever came up with this creative recipe!!

Oh, and I tore up the whole thing!!!!
  • Oh, one more thing to add. The sauce did make the crust a bit soggy, so I think next time I'll do just the sliced tomatoes instead.
  • Geeez I would find this on Day 9...lol since i'm addicted to pizza....I might have to give it a go 2nite... )
  • What size pan do you cook this on? And how big is the finished pizza when done? I might give this a try.
  • I made this on Tuesday. I sauteed red and green bell peppers, onions, and spinach in canola oil cooking spray. Once my crust was done, I added mild salsa then my vegetable toppings. Very good recipe. The only things missing were the chicken and cheese!!!
  • This was sooooooo good!!! Me and my roommate ate it up the first day I made it! It helped us get over the slump that we were in. Thanks so much for posting!
  • crust kind of dry - but an excellent change of pace
I was pretty skeptical, but this turned out rather well. I cooked my crust for 18 minutes. It was kind of firm, but not as crisp as others have described. I made the crust about 1/4 of an inch thickness as described earlier. I proabably put in 4 tbsp of olive oil also as someone recommended. I piled on the soy cheese which tasted like regular cheese to me (I bought mine at Trader Joe's). After 10 minutes at 400 degrees the cheese hadn't melted much at all, but that was ok - it was still pretty good.

I thought this was a great change of pace.

It didn't look beautiful, but it tasted ok.
