Sighs of relief here for you and yours. I can not even imagine a small bit of what you have witnessed. I am 15 miles out of the city in a commuter town. A whole different world. Everyone knows someone or someone who knows someone that is not home. The eyewitness accounts from friends and neghbors is beyond any comprehension. Too horrific to descibe.

Area emt's firefighters, police and other rescue workers are all in there.

Jif's hospital received two victims yesterday...no more have come.

The children from N.Y. in the little guys school could not get back into the city. Their parents could not get out. They slept over at the school, played games, watched movies ate pizza and waited.

The big kids school was closed again today because of kooks taking advantage of frayed nerves and calling in bomb threats.

Flags line the streets here...not only hanging from flag poles...they are on little sticks stuck in the ground curb side.

I am no longer a chick...I am a HAWK. I will never ever in my entire life tell the joke about selling the Brooklyn Bridge---not ever.

Back at my sister's place in Ottawa for tonight and then will go back to do more registrations at the Blood DOnor Clinic early tomorrow. We are so remote fromt his disaster but so many people are bursting into tears when we talk about this terrible, terrible thing. I cannot imagine what it must be like to be on site!

I hope everyone gets a good night of sleep tonight - we are emotionally exhausted.

I think at the end of the day it comes down to good against evil, and we all must not loose our faith because then the persons who committed this horror act won the battle.

You guys there in the middle of it all, just remember there are millions of people praying and constantly thinking of you, I don’t think I can in my wildest dreams imagine what you might be going through.

Here in South Africa some of our TV channels are permanently broadcasting the latest news, last night at about 11H00 I was still lying in bed watching in horror. My hart bleed for all of the people who have lost family and friends and acpecialy to the people who haven’t heart anything from their love-ones. I think the not knowing must be the worst thing off all. All around my country there has been church services and people lighting candles.

I am so glad to see so many people have checked in. This place is a haven for me and you are all so dear to me!!! Is it possible to do a group hug over the internet?? I hope so because I think we all need it. Take care all of you -- I think about you a lot even when I can't post. To my east coast friends special thoughts and prayers for all of you. Even here in the rural midwest where you feel cloistered away sometimes the agony and sadness are unbelievable. My family, my friends, my 3rd graders, it seems we can't think or speak of anything else. On my way home Tues. night I saw Airforce I and its fighter jets fly over on their way back to DC. It gave me goosebumps!!!

Sorry folks, it's been hectic here. Dh was in the city and was able to see much of what happened. Others in my congregation were in the WTC, but fortunately everyone is accounted for.

A version of post-traumatic stress syndrome has begun to set in... and getting folks referred to counselors has been close to impossible because of the great need. I'm taking on stuff I shouldn't tackle.

Please continue to keep in your prayers the rescue workers. A good friend of mine in NYPD in the 1st precinct... and will be forever changed from what he has seen.

I'll be back in a short while (I hope). Knowing y'all are here helps.

Casey! We are so glad you are back! I figured you'd be out there doing your "day job". I'm glad your congregation is accounted for. Now the real work begins - rebuilding shattered souls.

Do your calling Hun we know that you are OK and so is DH and your congregation. we can breath now!! Take care of those folks. and give them all hugs for us please we all are feeing so much for them.
